Still waiting for someone to tell me how to beat people who swing at every pitch. I go entire games without throwing a pure strike, and still cannot escape the wild, swing at every pitch, touch everything style of most ranked players. This is hall of fame difficulty

throw a sinker cutter or splitter into their bat, generate weak contact grounders that hopefully you field.or throw speed changes to get them to swing and miss(hopefully not foul off 12- see the first option if that happens)

It works until the game gives them a broken bat single right behind one the corner infielders… then hanging pitch for a homerun.

I was in my first start in HS and this happened, swung at everything lot of fouls some cheap hits, during an 8 pitch ab pitching coach came out, I said they're fouling everything off won't miss, he said " then throw it into their bat, roll easy grounders.
Now sure they'll probably still foul a bunch of(especially in this game) but that is what they used to teach you(prob still do)

The problem with this gameis that pitching for contact does more harm than good, people get to pitches outside the zone and hit extra base hits defying all laws of physics.

If your pitcher is a fastball outlier type then just throw change ups below the zone and curveballs low to below the zone and mix in a few fast balls. They swing at everything thinking it’s an outlier fb. I’ve had most pitchers have over 200 ks and 0.14 era doing that

Most free swingers have pretty solid timing…most people facing them just start feeding the same off speed stuff out of the zone. For example Jim is swinging at everything, so you start throwing slider after slider away thinking they will eventually miss. However, they are going to foul off nine straight and the system will determine it is a solid at bat and determine a floater needs to fall over the zone.

Focus on timing rather than focusing on throwing stuff further out of the zone. The best way to beat these guys is to get their timing as out of wack as possible. It really isn’t too different than non free swingers.

Mix your pitches. Make sure you’re not becoming even semi repetitive. If I get up against free swingers. I’ll usually pull my starter after the 2nd pass through the order and start rotating the opposite type of pitcher

The game needs to not reward bad swings when perfect/perfect on the pci is almost a guaranteed out.

These suggestions simply do not work. It’s impossible to strike people out consistently even when they have zero discipline. I don’t play non stop, but I play enough, and this is the same thing over and over. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose, but the consistent quality is that I don’t throw a single strike the entire game and still I’m giving up way too many hits.

The last couple ranked games I've played I've just swung at everything to try to get the games over as quick as possible.

I've been getting my [censored] kicked.
