Roster update
-
Go back to the old way y’all did roster updates pleaseeee. These roster updates are horrendous. Players with [censored] near .300 batting averages getting downgraded. Oh trout fell under 1.000 OPS let’s put him down 3. Makes no sense
-
Just about every 90+ got downgraded.
-
Xander Bogaerts is second amongst SS in WAR this year and they’ve dropped him to an 80. It’s idiotic.
-
Michael Harris still a 73 beats the [censored] out of me.
Dansby should have gotten more love, too. Only an 81. -
Everybody wants their favorite players upgraded when they have a hot couple of weeks but not downgraded when the reverse is true.
Mike Trout is batting .210 over the last 28 days and .167 over the last 14 days. During that time he has only one extra base hit. Are those numbers not worthy of a downgrade in contact and power?
Bogaerts, rightfully or wrongfully, is probably being held back by his 60 fielding. SS is one of those positions where they weight defense very highly. He still has very good Contact ratings.
Michael Harris I think is a case of them being wary with a rookie. He received a +7 in the last upgrade. You should probably be glad that they ignored him this time around because his average is .188 in the last 14 days. He could have very easily had his contact downgraded.

We have statistics that factor in defense to tell us who are the best players at their position in the game, the fact he is 8th among live series SS is just nonsense.

It's unfortunate but they rarely update defensive numbers during the season. I think they maybe did one big defensive update last season. Everybody is stuck with their starting defensive ratings until they decide to update.
