POTM cards going for 50k?

The 95s are selling for 50k. The past ones usually settled around 20-25k.
My guess is that they are higher to take advantage of all the players who want to rent them to finish the program quicker. Then when all of those people start trying to sell them back the prices will drop.
<insert my obligatory complaint on how I am not a fan of the POTM program structure that makes renting the cards the most efficient method to progress >

We’ll have to see how quickly they come back down. Could be someone playing the market if they drop real quick in the next hour or so.

I didn't rent this time, because I figured that I would take a loss on the return. I'll still get there, it will just take longer.

Yeah there’s such a small gap from buy and sell orders that you’re pretty much guaranteed a loss. I bet the 95s will be in the upper 30ks by tonight.

That would be prefect I'm building up my stub count today just to be safe but that would be great news.

If they're back down to around 20-25K; I'll rent them. If not; I won't worry about how long it takes to complete the program. Alvarez won't even make my bench.
I'm just doing the program incase I want one of the other Big Collection players.
BTW; does anyone know if you can unlock Alvarez WITHOUT locking in the 5 needed for the collection or do you need those 10pts?

I'm just interested in adding Sale to my rotation, my outfield is stacked as it is. Alvarez won't get Ruth out of my lineup.

And as more people get them, the price drops, so you are almost assured to sell for way less than you bought. Right now with only deGrom and Scherzer away from Randy I am not spending stubs on anything.

You HAVE to lock in the 5 to get Alvarez. Without locking in you can still get Sale if you finish everything else.
