Explain difference between pci and timing

You said pci analog. So you are using PCI to place location and analog stick to swing?
If so you are using the most difficult interface, sadly there is no extra advantage for using analog stick to swing. You are best off using buttons to swing and PCI.
Timing hitting is just you hit X when the ball gets to the plate and let the dice roll decide if you are getting a hit or not.

Interested in people take on this. I use timing cause I’m just awful as is at hitting.

Yeah I know I'm at a disadvantage but I have always enjoyed being sim as possible but it's getting old trying to compete against easier settings. Wish we could have difficulty levels that actually dictate hitting settings. Like a hardcore mode for online rated . Which is my other problem because I play hof hitting legend pitching and then go back to DD and it's all star. Messes me all up.

This works well for me...
I like the feel of analog because it seems more akin to a swing (pushing a button just doesn't do it for me), but I hate the PCI because I can't get past the fact that you're controlling eyeballs (utterly stupid mechanic, and I won't do it); going timing with analog gives you more control as you need to at least push the stick in the general direction of the ball (inside, middle, outside), just like the Pure Analog settings of old. Without that, it really is just pushing a button, which is almost as lame as controlling the batter's eyes.
If you like sim-like results, I think you'll like it.

So you are saying you still aim with the left stick or you are aiming with the right stick ?
Basically asking is the left stick not used anymore with timing?

The right stick - as you're swinging, you push it to the third of the plate that you want to cover... so, to hit an inside pitch using a right handed batter, you'd push the right stick diagonally up and left.

Not at all... on the whole, I probably average about .270. With players I hit well with, I tend to hang in the low 300s (about 100-150 ABs with some), but I've got some as low as .240 (tend to be low vision, plus power types).
*Edit - that's online RS. Offline, much higher, but who doesn't... almost everyone over .300 and some in the mid .400s
