Question about offline modes

I think I read on here, or somewhere else, that you can still play RTTS and MTO if you don't have an active Internet connection.

If that is in fact true; what happens to the 'rewards' when you complete certain tasks in those modes?

Can you play a part of an MTO or RTTS level and just wait until you get an internet connection to complete that part for the XP?

I had some Internet issues where it went down, and I was still able to play MTO. (I didn’t try RTTS)
And yes, you got the rewards once your Internet connection was back.
