It's absurd. It's almost to the point where hitting a single is worse than an out because it almost guarantees the next guy is hitting into a double play.

That’s one of the most frustrating things about the hitting engine. Even getting under the ball could still be a grounder and getting on top of the ball can still be a fly ball. But of course if its a double play opportunity it’s almost always going to result in that regardless of PCI placement.

Showdown always been that way for me, thankfully I always end up completing programs before they expire, so I don't need to do them this year.

Yep; having played MS and Conquest on Veteran a bunch the last 10 days to finish the endless program grinds, I noticed lower levels have a lot more BS in them, like DPs and diving OFs, fluke HRs on bad pitches. All Star and up, not so much.
So yeah, Showdowns and Moments will give you loads of bs for sure.
