Game crashing

The new Live Rosters update is crashing the game on my Series X.

Yesterday, my CPU game froze in the bottom of the 5th and I had to exit to the PSN menu and quit the game. Today, I got the dreaded LAN cable disconnect/connect error in the 7th. In both cases I lost all progression from those games. I know the second error is a PSN error and not a MLBTS but I have no idea what happened with the first game.
