A thought on Topps Now

So, we’ve been getting these overpowered TN cards for a couple years. A guy like Jake Burger being a Diamond for, maybe one swing. Last night I had a thought, what if they gave the card the players Live Series attributes and just increased the rating for what they did in the game?

Hit a HR against a lefty, boost lefty numbers. Hit for the cycle and get hits against lefties and righties boost all around. Get 4 hits all against righties, only the righty numbers increase.

Yes, I know, it would seriously mute the card and the reason for going after it, but most of these are just collection fodder anyway. I just think it’s so weird these guys get on the level of some of the better cards because of, maybe, one swing. I mean, as a Rockies fan, I don’t even care to use that Brian Serven card, as much as he deserved it with a 2-homer game.
