played one game since update so far made 4 diving plays and my opponent had even more.. Yes some animations are better looking than pre patch but nothing else has changed its still way way to easy to make diving plays

You saw the slip and slide dive animation? I played a bunch of Ranked last night and all the dives were definitely nerfed. Even had a few opportunities that would have been made with the old diving and didn’t get close to the ball.

Some of the dives looked awkward, but I think I just have to get used to the slower/less distance covered animations.

I think dives are still very powerful, just a little less range with them.

I disagree. Dives seem a lot closer to what they were last year. I don't really have a problem with a well timed dive though. It was the penguin slides that were the problem, and those are definitely gone

I notice alot of dives last night that even timed right resulted in the ball hitting off the glove and not vacuumed in which I have brealy seen this year.

It's way better then it was in my view

I made two diving plays last night and missed on 4 others that would have been successful prior to the update.

I made 2 diving plays in a ranked game last night. One silver defense (Trea at SS) and one diamond (FOTF Jazz at 2B).

Both got the ball but both also were very close to the ball when I dove. I also missed a few balls that would have been gloved otherwise pre-patch. The dives are definitely fixed especially since the patch notes they were fixing animations (IE penguin slide)

I thought dives were much better last night. I had at least 2-3 hits in the one game I played and also gave up a couple hits that would have without a doubt been outs before the patch.

I saw 2 defensive (mis)plays by the CPU grinding Gehrig last night that I've never seen before; the best (worst) one was a bloop that the 2B was chasing with his back to the infield while the RF was charging; 2B dove, missed the ball and the RF ran right by it, making it an easy triple that the CF had to chase down.

Wish I would have saved it.
