I don't really like how clutch hitting affects clutch pitching if you're a pitcher. I also have a heck of a time raising it as a pitcher. Any ideas besides workouts?
Are you referring to the batter’s clutch rating affecting a pitch? Is there devidence that’s what happens?
You could try loading the bases with IBBs or HBPs and then trying to get out of it but that’s not a very good idea.

Well, when you give up an RBI, you lose clutch skill and when you fail to get a hit with runners in scoring position you also lose clutch, so I assume it uses the skill when it calculates the chance of getting a hit as a batter or allowing a hit as a pitcher.

There are separate clutch attributes for batting and pitching.
So when you score some RBIs (or not) as a batter in a clutch play, batting clutch changes.
Give up some runs (or not) as a pitcher, and pitching clutch changes.
