Ppl who swing at every single pitch

You've got to simply mix up pitch type, speed, and location against free swingers. And try to determine if they are free swinging because they are just hoping to get lucky at pitch type (i.e. directional and/or on a TV with lots of input lag) or just because they have no plate discipline.
If it's the former, it's really easy - throw breaking balls until they come close to timing them up and then work fastballs inside because there's no way of catching up. And don't be afraid of throwing them lots of breaking balls in the dirt until they start to lay off them.
If it's the latter and they just swing at everything with decent timing but no discipline, then you'll have to work a little harder to get their timing/eyes off by working inside and then outside and sometimes mixing it up with back to back pitches in the same location. All about being a pitcher to get the strikeout/weak contact in this situation.
Thanks I work on this.

What y’all crying about today?

There are days when I'm not seeing breaking balls well and I swing at most pitches. I definitely DO NOT get rewarded on those days...
-
IT REALLY BREAKS MY BALLS WHEN I CANT SEE THE BREAKING BALL

Context please. Probably events.
Ranked on HOF and above, this strategy never works.
Got any tips?
Well people that swing at every pitch, won't succeed on HOF and above. I haven't played much H2H this year on HOF outside of our private league, but don't get too predictable.
From previous experience, I think like a pitcher. Notice patterns of opponent swing timing and location. Make sure that you are comfortable throwing any pitch to any location on any count, early in the game.
Just like batters hit R2, you can also. You can see where you threw stuff last time to that batter, and make sure to do the opposite for the second AB
By the time you see that hitter a third time, you should be very successful.More people are aggressive hitters than anything else. It's about speed and getting to their next game. Exploit human nature and alternate locations, time between pitches etc. Not saying to quick pitch or wait until the timer is up every pitch, but hitting is rhythmic. Break up their rhythm.
Lastly, I generally don't throw the same pitch two times in a row. If I do, I switch location unless they are very very late or early.
What is a private league?

A league where we guys play against each other.
The visibility and viability of leagues seems non existent. On purpose I guess.
I should look into it but discord, signup/tryout processes will probably keep me from doing it.
I wish the game itself had a better platform for leagues.

Incorrect. I swing at pretty much every pitch and couldn’t hit water if I fell out of a f’n boat.

Get rewarded big time! I played this guy yesterday who swung at EVERY single pitch no matter the location and got hits, fouls and scored runs like a top 50 player. (no swing throughs) The most frustrating gaming experience of all time.
This game needs a patch big time. Everything they said they fixed is worse than it was before they said they fixed it. I now know what everyone is complaining about. I've been playing this game for a long time and it feels like 2018 all over again.
Sorry for the rant but I needed to get this off my chest so I can try to move forward and have fun with this game again!
Learn how to tunnel pitches. Scann on YouTube has some good videos he posted around this time last year that are pretty helpful.

Our group had CL before CL was available. We didn't play franchise. We literally roll out in friendly games with a spreadsheet of unique DD rosters. We moved last year to CL and it was okay. We're back to friendly format though.

You can't really work the count these past 2 years due to pinpoint being the go to meta of how to pitch consistent strikes. Unless your fouling pitches off eventually you'll get a hit but since it's "MLB The Show Dot Edition 2" goodluck

That’s like a lot of work but sounds like it pays off.
I was in a similar hand tracked league a while back but it was hard to follow/stay engaged and fell apart shortly after.

I just played someone in the Event and they swing at EVERYTHING and either hit it or fouled it off. Pitches in the dirt. Pitches about the Strike Zone. Pitches WAY inside.
I blame it on the outer PCI and Timing hitting.
-
Better watch out. The SDS defenders are going to be soaring in claiming you’re a Karen and whining because you are upset about something you spent hard earned money on.
