So I’ve been keeping track of my perfect perfect results
-
I’m going to be doing these in batches of around 100. Finished the first one the other night. Here are the results:
Ground ball: 18/31 (14 singles, 4 doubles)
Line drive: 43/47 (13 singles, 16 doubles, 1 triple, 13 hr, 2 foul balls)
Fly ball: 27/27 (27 hr)Stats:
-Ground ball: .581 avg, OPS ≈ 1.291
-Line drive: .915 avg, OPS ≈ 2.489
-Fly ball: 1.000 avg, OPS = 5.000TOTAL: .838 avg, OPS ≈ 3.028
I was very surprised with the stats on line drives. I think I had a lot of good fortune there. Will be interesting to see if that continues on the next set.

This is a thread I plan to update throughout the year. If anyone else is interested in also keeping track, it would be great if you’d like to share the results here

Needs a constant non variable stadium. I recommend Date Palm Field.

Hmm. Not sure I buy it. First off how do so many PPs end up as grounders? Secondly how you hitting 1.000 on fly balls when better part of half of mine die at the warning track?

We don’t know the stadium and level; I’m guessing veteran tops

Because Grounder/line drive/ fly ball doesn't refer to the result. Its where in the PCI the perfect was hit. You know those 3 dots?

I was watching someone stream, can’t remember who, and they said something brilliant: if sds just changed the name of Perfect Perfect to “barreled” people wouldn’t be upset about PPs being outs. I agree with what he said. I think the thought of a hit being perfect means that it actually should fall for a hit or hr.
