CPU Pitches Differently To Cards Tied To PxP Missions!!!!!
-
The only theory that makes sense to me right now, is if the CPU has a slider as a 1 or 2 pitch, it’ll throw you 3-4 an inning right down the pipe.
Noticed this playing MS. Went in Conquest; same. Any other pitch is random from game to game and P to P; but count on the hanging slider.

What I notice is that if I am crushing 4 seam fastballs the cpu will start throwing me everything but, even if 4 seam is #1 pitch, but that is just smart.
As far as the OP, I don't see it, I'd say it's that you are putting too much pressure on having success with those guys, just try to ignore that you have missions tied to them.

Well yeah, the cpu pitchers have pitch confidence Meters as well. You can see which pitches they are more likely to go to.

It's all in your mind man

Nope. However, Rookie this year is much different. Far fewer cookies, more dots on the black.

It's because they added 2 difficulty below rookie for the switch kids (understandable). I feel like rookie is now rookie pitch speeds with verteran+ locations. Still pretty easy tho.

Sounds like OP gets overzealous with those PxP cards and swings at everything trying to get hits...and AI recognizes this and refuses to throw certain players good pitches knowing you will swing at anything.

Yep, I think this is it. Last year it was always 20-0. This year, not so much, especially with the fielding shenanigans and liners roping right at fielders.

What I will add is I noticed when grinding monthly pxp on rookie with 6 monthly players playing, my Piazza and Julio Rodriguez always got notable player mentions at the end. Just always felt like after Dawson led off and did whatever the AI would center cut the first pitch to Julio and he homered every game.
So maybe?

Yup, been there. Was playing mini season with Justice, Soriano, and Sandberg to get the RBI mission. For awhile I was worried I wasn't going to get it done, but then i started hitting with them and didn't look back. Mostly Justice, never been a huge fan of Sandbergs swing and apparently Soriano isn't too good for me either, I haven't really seen that 120 power vs LHP. But Justice raked.

Anxiety; you want to finish ASAP. Your brain just perks up and goes oh ***! I better have a good pitch to it and now you’re pressing. Other players that fill the lineup, you just go back to the whatever dude, let’s get rolling mindset.
Every time that player comes up, you’re like .167? That’s one for six; geeh I’m due a dinger; well not due but at least that would help a ton. And a lineout; .143 now. Should I sit inside with that swing? Seems like I’m always late.
And on and on it goes in your head. While you’re mulling this, you hit a moonshot with Rodriguez.

The only acceptable reply to this will be You really want the pitcher to pitch from second base?
-
You really want the pitcher to pitch from second base and throw all balls and pitches on the black to my monthly cards but then throw a couple lazy BP cutters over the heart of the plate to my non-monthly cards?
Did say Maybe. I am not the OP. So maybe they are maybe they aren’t.
