No, that's not how it works, just because it's a good time to hit the ball, doesn't mean that is the balls final destination. The ball doesn't magically stop moving if the hitter doesn't hit it there.
I think we're gonna have to agree to disagree on this one. I hear what you're saying, and like I argued before I would agree if the timing was early or very early. But since that wasn't the case here, I do think that the spot that the feedback shows was in fact the location where the pitch would've ended up being if the batter had not swung.
But why? what gives you this assumption? Because using the hitters timing isn't proof, unless you are suggesting the hitters good time to swing is when the ball was in the glove, or that the ball magically stops moving on a slurve before it gets in the glove.

I have no issue with the result of the batter, you can actually hit that pitch for a homer if it DID end up where he spotted it. The argument was that the pitch had a perfect release and it ended up outside the PAR. That shouldn't happen.
I know, I wasn't referring to the batter, I was referring to the picture of the batter swinging vs where the pitch wouldve ended up.
The picture of the batter swinging makes it look way worse then it was. In reality the ball would have hit on the corner, which is outside the par, which shouldn't happen obv, but it also wasn't some gravity middle middle pitch

This is honestly what I've always wondered. Is the ball location in the PCI feedback giving the results of where contact is made, or is it showing where the ball would've crossed the plate and been caught at?
Because I think if it's showing where the ball would've crossed the plate and been caught it would explain alot of the off ball pci solid contact.

As others have stated, the image doesn’t really hold up. Ball has to travel still.

I will say this for the first time ever. This game is absolute garbage. Beyond frustrating how badly programmed and how SDS either doesn’t care or lacks the competence to address.

Game is a joke it's just moving away from any kind of skill. Playing events it's literally impossible to strike someone out until they eventually force you to throw a meatball for them to crush or bloop over your shortstop's head. At this point you just have to take it for what it is and try to have fun

For me. Contact swing is so broken you can just foul things off until you either bloop a ball or hit a blast. I can’t bring myself to be the “if you can’t beat ‘em, join them “ guy. Just terrible. -

Just terrible.I agree this year it's horrible might be time to move on after this year. I think that's why they're opening it up to Xbox and Nintendo switch because they know the diehard fans will leave they are just looking for money and the masses. They don't care about game cloudy they care about their bottom line it's a business it's obvious. The product is trash.

After playing tonight and seeing some awful foul tips. I replayed some and looked at it closer. I think the ball locations shows where it would land, and not where contact is made. Unless the replay was completely wrong. I went back to the replay and shows the ball crossing the bottom of the strike zone only to be fouled off. But the ball location shows it in the dirt. Or close to it.

The only argument I would have here is that good timing doesn't necessarily mean you hit the pitch in the spot it was intended to go to. It means you caught it in the better spot to hit it. The timing changes depending on the pitch and location which is why we see 'early' swings go opposite field sometimes. On an outside breaking pitch you want to drive it the other way, so being early would still send it to the opposite field. So good timing doesn't necessarily equal up the middle or hitting the pitch where it was intended to go.

I’m of the same opinion of Raes; if they use this feedback for balls and strikes, why wouldn’t they use it foe swing feedback? It’s one of the reasons I believe people make too much of the PCI feedback: the ball is where it would have crossed the plate; the PCI is either where the bat crossed or made contact; either way, it never shows both the ball and the PCI at the point of contact. There would still be BS hits, but less severe impression of getting screwed by the engine.
