Kind of frustrating that Ramone Russell came out before the game was released and claimed that we could finally use Ohtani as he is used IRL. Then the game comes out and it’s like … umm, not happening.

Unless we get a YouTuber or someone they care about I wouldn't either too bad those guys don't want to miss out on free stuff & $ though

Thought I'd let you know Ohtani is currently 2 for 3 tonight with 2 RBIs & pitched 6 innings with 12Ks and only allowed 1 hit. This is not possible in MLB 22 The Show though..because? @Pat_SDS_PSN @Collin_SDS_PSN @Victor_SDS_PSN

Bought the game this year specifically to make a Ohtani style RTTS player. No option to DH. Very disappointing

No, they have commented and no it wasn't fixed. I've started to move on from mlb 22 the franchise mode is just bare bones and not using Ohtani properly breaks any realistic immersion.
Rtts is not really my thing.
The online is always freezing & the missions this year are too tedious with the specific player xp stuff it's back to 16 type stuff with play innings type missions i guess at least we're not collecting bobble heads. I may come back to the game later in the season. -
It's very strange that the guy on the cover still can't be used properly.

He’s in the online rated games !! He could be used as the DH … No problem when using him as a hitter!!

I hope thats not serious. Ohtani CANNOT pitch and DH in the same game in MLB 22. It's simply not possible simple as that when it should 100% be possible.

I'm not finding any help on my issue in Franchise mode with Ohtani, Im the Yankees and have normal DH rules, so he's #2 in my rotation and I had placed him as the dh in all my lineups and I played a few games and it worked just fine with him batting as my DH while he was and was not pitching. Well I simulated to the playoffs and now Ohtani will ONLY bat when he's pitching because my DH spot now is taken up by whoever the SP is and it won't let me change them out for any positional players but I can swap in any Pitcher except for Ohtani who doesn't even show up as a reserve in my lineup screen. Is there some playoff rule or something I'm missing or is the game just really broken?

At this point, I think it would require a huge overhaul of the system because it won't even let me ask that question in the Twitch chat so I think SDS knows about it but it's a lot bigger to implement than we realize and they just aren't going to do it.
