    • Maybe overall team rating limit of 93? Maybe 6 innings?
That way people can choose if they wanna play w the pros for the buffed rewards, or practice in the rec version for lesser-ish awards.

Not sure how anyone could object to this, people would self-select which mode they want to play without being limited to full 9-inning RS games on certain difficulties.

Maybe they'd have a HOF and All-Star option so you could practice. Sucks that I have to switch between HOF and All-Star cold turkey here and there since I'm in Division Series and hover between the two.

I like your idea and actually would play your alternate RS. The issue I’m seeing though is that it seems awfully similar to Events.

It would be very similar, but an acknowledgement of it being “the rec option” would allow the comp RS to be free from RNG

It doesn't solve the issue of why we are in our current situation

SDS can have it both ways - just add a "recreational" version of RS and make the current RS input-based where "stick skills reign supreme".

    Comp:

    • More Input-Based Results
    • Rewards are buffed (packs, stubs, XP etc for reaching Wild Card, DS, CS and WS)
    • Difficulties progress as you advance
    • Record gets kept and visible to opponents

    Recreational

    • Causal gaming with the level of RNG we're experiencing now.
    • Rewards for reaching new divisions are less than Comp version, no player rewards like WS.
    • Maybe overall team rating limit of 93? Maybe 6 innings?
    • Veteran and All-Star difficulties
    • Losses result in less of a "decrease" in rating, so if you grind out wins you can make the higher divisions.
    • record can be viewed like events, but doesn't show up on your team screen when loading into game, resets each season in leader boards.

I don't always have the time, energy, or stress management levels to play a full game of zeroed-in laser-focus RS, but would love to get some practice or casual at bats in with my top players.

Who would play with a 93 cap and no rewards?

It doesn't matter what you do innings 1-6 or 1-8. The programming is guaranteed to manufacture opportunities and situations for the person losing. We've all been on both of sides id it.

If you don't see it in the gameplay then I have to break it to you, but you're a casual. This gameplay has gone way downhill over the years and all in the direction to make sure everybody gets to compete.

You now have guys with $500 consoles and 40-60 in tv/monitors playing against guys on 6.2 inch Switch screens. It's never going to work.

You are absolutely 100% correct on this. They don’t even care to hide it anymore. I have had the glitches where the first baseman takes off running to second base and you can’t do anything as well as the glitch where the outfielder just starts diving multiple times in high leverage situations both offline and online now. It always happens at the end of a game.

I have to say that you tag SDS people more than anyone on this board. They don't respond unless they ASK for something, or they proactively seek you out.

They read everything. Tagging them constantly makes you look a little too clingy.

It is their forum. I promise you they read everything. They probably don't agree with most of it but they read it.

I’ve played this game long enough to know I will lose a game. No matter what you do I’d say 75 percent of the games in br, events and ranked are pre-determined

They can't even program the game correctly where everything is handled the same, and you're asking for them to code separate cores of gameplay for different modes?

I agree it wouldn’t probably work out, but in my opinion they could readily access the core gameplay with true user input being rewarded, no outer pci, no foul tips etc….
