At this point I think it's safe to say you don't agree with Rizzo as POTM so let's not make another post about.
SDS made their choice and from watching the Topps Now stream they are pretty confident in there choice so you aren't going to change their mind about it. Your argument that there are better options at first would apply in 19 when Mays was the collection reward then in 20 when Mantel was the reward and even chipper last year. There will always be better cards coming. In May who ever the POTM is that card will be replaced by someone else that's the circle of life of DD

If that's the case are you gonna make a post about every card that isn't very good cause realistic there is about 1300 more cards coming that won't be end game level and won't even be Bench bat cards so that's alot of work just saying

Anyone that has Pujols or Thomas is probably never going to find a card to replace them with. They are both monsters.

Josh Bell Better card 1stCould gave it to one if the player of the month pitchers or something more useful than Rizzo with 20 speed and 80 contact.
don't see the reasoning here are they even watching baseball? lol
POTM cards Pederson and Taylor are both better than Rizzo and Dawson imo.

You’re complaining about free cards that will be invaluable for later collections and are accessible to everyone willing to grind.
Yes, Rizvi is a wasted card, but I’m never expecting more than a bench bat from such programs.
Dawson on the other hand is a great card. We haven’t seen the last of PXP missions and I don’t foresee a plethora of useful Nationals cards this year. Take him for what he is worth. With my FOTF Bell card at P5, this card is a welcome freebee.

Fair enough. But last year the first 2 POTM cards, Burns and Buxton, were immediate starters for most people. I know SDS was pinned into a corner with other guys already having good cards, but it’s still an underwhelming choice.
I mean, I have Frank, Prince, Pujols, and Bell. And Joc is a better platoon bat than Riz.

I'll give you Bell, but not everyone can drop 90k on Pujols. He feel like a wish.com version of Prince Fielder. But free, except it takes 8 hours of game play to get him. Joc and Ward are the best players out of the set. Joc will make anyone's squad as a bench bat vs righties. And Ward is a solid card and I'd argue better than Rizzo.

Are we really still talking about this? Not every card released is gonna be better than what you have. You know what it is though? It's an OPTION. When you get those PXP missions or events to use hitters from a specific team, instead of running out with a 72 bronze, you have a 90+ diamond in your back pocket. Its for collections....complete the small stuff now for the big stuff later.
I find it impossible to believe that people still dont understand this concept and they assume every card released from launch til next year should be better than the card before it.....but here we are.
