I need 24 points right now. I can only achieve 19 that’s with the 4 from Ward and the 2500 pxp with monthly awards hitters. I’ll have to parallel ward almost to 3 for that. I see that the 10 points for the topps now mission is incomplete on the first stage but not stage 2. I have played more topps now but it won’t unlock. I’m so confused about all of this. I’m not going to buy these cards. This seems shady

I also can't complete round 2 without buying two additional not provided players and doing their individual pxp missions. Any round 1 points left on the board are unattainable.
You don't need any points from RD 1. The only reason RD 2 points go last 65 possible is if you just wanted to buy the Gold TN players so you can skip some of the Moments/Missions.

The fact that it is so convoluted that even the most educated of us cant do the math or figure out what we actually need to do to get to Rizzo or Dawson, or figure out the most efficient way to do it, speaks volumes of the program. I think they could easily streamline the process with changes in the menus.
Some great explanations on here and I appreciate the help, but if it takes more that 8 sentences to explain what you need to do the game becomes more of a chore than a game.I hate to say this; but it would've been 'better' if they had missions locked until you did the Moments first.

I sold 0 players. Never did the Topps now pxp before it moved me to round 2. So now I have to buy 2 players, lol. Where was this explained in the game?
Did Stage 2 unlock for you? If so, then you don't need to buy anyone. If you follow @the_dragon1912 posted you can get it done.
Now if you already got your three 88 packs and took three pitchers then you may have to buy one of the 88 batters. If that's the case, when you lock in the 5 for the collection make sure that player isn't locked and you can sell them back and pick them up later out if the No Sell packs.

Did you do all the Moments?
I miss counted. I ended up buying Joc and the second baseman from Cleveland forgot his name. Finished the program and sold them back and made a few stubs. All I picked was pitchers at first not paying attention. Kinda used to how it was before.

There's no reason I should have to do every single pxp mission with not only the potm card, but then the pxp for Topps too, it is a ridiculous grind for a mid outfielder and a mid 1st baseman isn't it? Then you don't even get the program points for the Topps collection really. Why even make it 40 points if we only get like 10 of the points? We had to play all the moments, so what was the purpose of making it say 40?
The purpose of making it say 40 was for the people who didnt wanna do all the grinding to get the Topps Now cards in the first place. They could have bought all of them and ended up doing only 3-4 moments and the collection to get to the next stage.

The grinds used to get you something. You used to have to play like 1500 innings with a certain team, but they'd give you a high diamond worth using

Provide me an example of a program that required 1500 innings and the reward it provided cause I certainly don't recall one that required 1500 innings as the sole requirement to get a reward

They will not, extreme program doesn’t fit the model. Mainly because the new customers won’t be able to complete it and the game is designed to help them out.

Giving us unsellable versions of cards we’ve already potentially locked in during the program is so stupid. They are slowly but surely heading towards being like 2K. That’s pretty sad. It’s always been the biggest selling point of the game that they aren’t like that. Nothing you earn in the monthly or extra programs is worth anything this year. I’m not only moving more and more towards not spending money on this game any more; I’m moving towards not buying it at all. Even the lower level CPU games aren’t fun because of how bad hitting is this year. Baserunning has never been fixed either (they keep running out the same unfixed code for that). Overall just a disappointing game this year.

That is your choice if you choose to buy them and lock them in. I am not a fan of the PXP missions but you can do it all and get all of the players without buying a single card or getting any duplicates. There are 9 choice packs I believe and 9 cards to choose from.

i hear you mate - i personally enjoyed the EXTREME mode - that kanley jenson last mission years ago was truly the hardest of my life to complete i loved it
