Well, we are in a society that caters to the smaller percentage. It’s kind of a thing now.

There is definitely an adjustment period this year once you reach hof but stick with it and you’ll start getting it.

I prefer HOF and can still score runs on HOF. I made people quit on HOF yesterday. I'm sure plenty of others do too. I hope they don't change it.

HOF seems to be more rewarding feedback wise than on AS. Its way more realistic. You can actually strikeout people

Everyone always talks about this skill gap thing but in my experience there is a skill gap.
The best players win the majority or their games. Does the best player sometimes lose? Yup, they sure do. Just like in real life. Some of you think you should never lose a game or something.
The 15-16 Warriors clearly had a massive skill gap over their competition to win 73 games. But they lost 9.
The 2007 Patriots were undefeated until the superbowl in which they lost to an inferior team in the giants.
Losing happens, even for the best players/teams in the world but the better players/teams still win a massively high % of their games year in and year out.

A lot of people asked for a bigger skill gap, and while you could argue back and forth how well they actually achieved that, faster pitch speeds and smaller pci factor into trying to create that.
Then why are the best players in the world like pitching rebel, McGunski and your friend Kyle annoyed by the patch? When the patch first dropped juicing speeds and shrinking the holy hell out of the pci and perfect perfects being far fewer they all complained and so did streamers. It’s utter bs

Sure didn’t seem like he supported it in his videos from his lack of enjoyment with squared up [censored] going nowhere getting shut out a lot and rng seemingly deciding games. He’[censored]ting a lot now bc he’s doing golden boys playing with only gold cards on lower difficulties. Also some of these guys will support sds no matter what bc they are content creators and the game is their livelyhood so it hurts them to not adapt and support a broken game.

Does anyone actually believe SDS makes sweeping changes based on message board posts from a random and miniscule part of their customer base?
Not a chance. Not even a factor.Facts are, everyone on this forum represents not even 1% of the total people who play this game.
They base their changes on raw data, and when a majority of teams are hitting well over .400 online, that's when they decide to make changes.. now only the WS players are over .400

I don’t get the fielding is broken, haven’t met that if you don’t force your player and go with the animation. But events on HOF is 1-0 fests. Not fun

Sometimes there is no animation...
I haven’t had a 1-0 game on hof in the event maybe the entire time

Yes based on all star difficulty before barely anyone even made hof. I’m not saying an adjustment didn’t warrant being made but not to the extent and not before the game had been out for even a week

I asked for it. Sucks having people flailing at 10 pitches an AB and never strikeout. Strikeouts are finally a thing again this year, even on all-star difficultly.

Welp, I guess I’d just have to buy a monitor if I want to be as good as I was in past mlb the show games to compete bc catching up to 102 fastballs and adjusting to offspeed is nearly impossible for me this year. Meanwhile I’ve had no issues with the fielding after the patch like you which is odd

I've had a couple instances of players not locking onto [censored] but it's meh and I'm hoping it gets fixed soon.

I just played my first event game of this one and I didn’t find the pitch speeds much different than AS in ranked. Obviously you have to be on the fastball, but that is not new. I have yet to play a HOF game in RS.
I’ll play a few more and see.
