I think it's just low overalls early game. I think when you start seeing pitchers with higher h/9's you will see more missed swings. New game and new players they tend to ease people into the game at first. But alot of complaints about foul offs so could be something they didn't anticipate, or it is exactly what they wanted. I would give it another month to see where it's headed before coming to conclusion it is broke. Jmo

I came here to make the same post! Hitting has become so freaking bad in RS for the last 4 or 5 days now I guess whenever last patch went in. I cannot even play this game anymore

Great point!!! I changed my camera view from strike zone which i've used mostly past 4 or 5 years when game launched and just amazing difference!!

Yeah I find the sweet spot and lose it all the time.
I know I'm struggling I'm swinging at everything , cant pick up pitches and that's all on me......what I do find annoying is the PCI jumps all over the place and when I do make solid contact its not going anywhere like it was for the first few weeks of release.

I alternate between zoom, 15 and 16. If glare from sun or nighlights i will switch when time comes game dependant.

Happens every year -upon release players complain about there is too much hitting - then they patch and kill the hitting ....cant understand why they cant find an in-between....this year is horrible makes the game not fun at all
I don't think anyone was whining about too much hitting this year. If anything the community was complaining about PP lineouts and cheese all bloop hits

I think once a good amount of complaints about hitting start they screw with the hitting and it kills it until they make another adjustment - happened last year I think or the year before.

Are you guys playing Ranked on AS or HOF? I didnt play enough games the first season to make a shot at HOF, so I started low this season(450 I think).
I’ve played the last few days and while yes there are plenty of inconsistencies and some nonsense that seems to happen every game, the games that were played to the end almost all seemed to be very high scoring. Like both teams in double digits or close. Maybe an occasional dud here or there but usually it’s only a low scoring game because my opponent quits early or the game freezes.

I made World Series and started at 700. I’m 3-1 so far and my last two games I won like 9-8 and the game I lost I literally couldn’t get the dude out on HOF. He had all the collections done and was batting like .500 with Utley, Frank, Trout etc….
There are for sure two sides to this game. You got people that have a hard time and some dudes that can take every ball and put a perfect swing on everything in the zone.

yeah boys let's all throw our hats in the ring - i am using STRIKE ZONE 2 but is there another that is better ? who is hitting over 300 in RS if you don't mind me asking?

Custom zone is an option as well. Not sure if custom is allowed in ranked though i think they changed that a few years back if not mistaken, but can't remember and haven't tried recently.

Im hitting .350 for the year and jump between SZ, SZ High and SZ2.
