Considering there are tons of hits off of very late or very early swings, I think since it's a video game there should always be a hit off perfects. I'm not saying a hr everytime, but at least a hit. I haven't seen a perfect to center field drop. It's either a hr or directly at the center fielder. Where are the liners to center off the wall over their heads or up the middle on a 1 hop? I'm all for it happening on mistimed swings, but when people lose games bc they hit 6 perfects in a 3 inning game and the other person is getting very early pulled off groundballs that get through something is wrong with the skill gap. It should be like a green light in 2k that is a guaranteed positive outcome. It isn't "realistic" but neither is players sliding like a penguin when the ball is hit and it magically bounces into their glove

You are right. Competitive isn’t supposed to be “IRL” per SDS. It’s stick skills over everything. Sim is that other mode.
Lots of people on here disagree though.

We need more hit variety, that’s for sure. I don’t necessarily need every PP pitch to be a strike or swing to be a hit but let’s incorporate more singles, doubles, triples, etc. HR fest gets kinda boring.

Exactly. I can't name 3 times I have seen a deep fly ball in the corner drop or anything directly behind outfielders, it also could be that they run too fast, not like we've been telling them for years liners in the gap don't get caught

Problem is it’s only going to get worse once they start releasing 99s all over the place
