Struggling with 120 hz.

Game plays smoother. Won't make you better but less stuttering and the MLB stadiums don't have that lag. Do not play at field of dreams that stadium is awful.
Idk man, not saying this isn't a coincidence, but I turned off 120hz and the next game hit like 6 hrs.

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions to see if I can check anything on my end ? Because it is pretty disappointing to go from 60 to 120hz and not see any benefits online and have the game actually feel slower like my bat is dragging after I swing.
You can also turn off HDR and make sure your hdmi input is set to PC….
I was told to always have HDR off on sports games and first person shooter where frames are more important than visuals
I keep HDR off as well. I must just be lucky or something but the game is playing better then ever after the 120hz change.

This is a known issue. Turn off the automatic setting to go to 120. Also play on performance mode for best on-line experience

PS5 is in performance mode. Might try Freesync only and turn off HDR. Last resort going back to 60hz. I'll see what works best.
Also, Not sure why so many people think that just because someone posts that they are struggling they automatically assume I thought I was expecting to be a top 10 player... jesus... I've made world series before, I'm not great at the game but solid... I sure didn't think a performance boost in the system was going to make me worse though.

I heard it in the last push the button stream last Friday, so if it's fixed in the latest patch then all good.

Yes it was fixed yesterday in the update. 120hz now works on PS5 offline and online.

He was talking about before the patch yesterday. It works fine now. Turn HDR off and keep vrr off.

I turned off HDR on my Vizio M Series which only does 4K at 60Hz and I was smoking the ball tonight. HDR was certainly causing some input lag and/or frame issues

Ok. so here is an update.
Turned off HDR and still had 120hz enabled. Seemed a little better but still seemed a little laggy. This DID however fix my problem with the LG C1 getting dim randomly.
Decided to go with HDR off and revert back to 60hz and was hitting way better.
Could this be just all in my head ??? maybe. But to me it seems like something isn't quite right with 120hz online for PS5. Maybe they were feeling the pressure to get it working for online so much that in fact that's what they just did. got it capable of playin and not really polished to where it is 100% ?
The game does look smoother playing online at 120hz. but it just feels off to me.
