Wade Boggs reviews

Not this year, but he has always raked for me in previous years. Great swing and surprising pop.

Dude I love Wade Boggs every year. Obviously haven't used him this year yet, but I'm sure he's no different than previous years.
-
RIP Wade

Didn’t think he’d be any good but wanted to try him out and was very pleasantly surprised… dude rakes and the power isn’t an issue. Anyone else give him a try?
He's one of my favorite cards every year and yes I am using him since unlocking him. I think he can use a little more pop but he does hit nice line drives

Same. He never sticks on my team for long because I mix it up a lot, but he always impresses.

Did I miss something? I assumed he was alive, well, and enjoying his fried chicken.

He is alive. Boggs is a really good card.

First off, Wade Boggs is very much alive.
It's a reference from "It's always sunny in Philadelphia." He drank 70 beers on a cross country flight.

How did you know it was a reference to It’s Always Sunny without knowing my reply is a reference to that same episode?

Oh hahahahahahaha.....because I vaguely remember the episode but I admit, I had to Google it to refresh my memory. But also, I meant to reply to someone else who had asked.
My bad, well done.

He hits a lot of line drive outs or warning track flies… not enough power. Get sandberg trust me

Oh nice, I just pulled him and stuck him in my lineup for my next Mini Season run. I loved his HRD card last year.
-
Power is king in this game, but Boggs, Gwynn, and Carew have always been the exception to that. This year is no different.

Always been a fan of Johnny Damon’s cards personally; it’s his defense that gets him out of my lineup eventually

Agreed, it seems like their power always plays well above their stats.

Carew's swing has always been glitchy.

How is Sandberg? I play in a launch pad so I love Boggs. Not doing to well with Banks so thinking of moving Seager to SS and getting Sandberg for 2nd. Plus I grew up watching Sandberg and the Cubs.
Actually, not hitting good with any RH hitters including Pujols. I hit much better with LH hitters. Wonder if that is because I was left handed too.

I'm the same, and I was a SH (natural righty that worked on LH); the OP sinkers of the last couple of years has made RH tough to use. I used to go with 2 LH max because I was wary of meeting a LH, and could always hit R-R. Not as much now; plus, there's not many quality LHP available right now.
I can hit with Seager, Devers, even Kenny Lofton. Luis Robert is batting 8th and there for his D, even if his attributes are good against RHP.

LH pitchers didn't bother me in real ball. I don't think they'll bother me here since I got my blurriness corrected. Maybe Randy but his 99 will be tough on RH hitters also.
