Another year, another broken aspect of the game. I just lost an even game that went 7 innings. It was 0-0 going into the 4th inning. I scored two runs on multiple extra base hits. Every bottom of the inning I was blooped to death or had to watch 99 fielders not be able to make routine plays.
My opponent matched me run for run in the 4th,5th,6th, and ultimately the 7th inning when I was walked off. He scored 10 runs, 0 XBH. Yes that's right 0. Late and very late bloop singles or fielder's choices.
Absolutely disgusting quality of gameplay and we're not even a month into the release.

10 runs but no XBH? Wow thats harsh.

It's theater at this point. Just look at all the diving catches. I've missed 1 out of about 10 and I've yet to see an opponent miss one. It's almost as if online is set to casual. Takes a lot of nerve to use the word competitive. This game favors those that don't know how to play it.

I lost a game 12 for Trout 10-11 against some dude that couldn’t put good timing on anything. Bloop, bloop, broken bat single…perfectly gapped oppo hit or weird timing Homerun. It was painful.

I was pretty heated, but honestly wasn’t too mad since I was hitting well and couldn’t control how many my opponent scored. I would have been more angry had I chased a bunch of sliders outside the zone for weak grounders for nine quick outs.

Still, I don't believe your opponent should've been rewarded for all those bad swings. Clearly sounds like you were the better player in this particular matchup and imo the better player should not lose due to funky game mechanics.

I’m honestly not exaggerating…so many fouled off sliders in the dirt and oppo bloop/seeing eye singles. Made me wonder if there isn’t some kind of coding to screw you with Trout on the line. I was able to refrain from making a thread on the game somehow.

The sliding/diving plays this year seem to be at an all time high. I’ve made my fair share, but also been robbed on balls that have no business being caught…one by that early dive, slide 3 feet animation in the RCF gap

When people stop looking at the outcome and acknowledge how the outcome was earned. The constant is contact swing, so working on how contact swing plays would be a great start no?
