On Twitter there are a lot of people saying they got banned for "flipping cards".
I'm in a facebook group for this game and theres a post with like 6-7 people that got banned because they didn't know buying stubs from a 3rd party site was against the rules. And after that post here yesterday it makes a lot of sense lmao. These dudes think this is madden and can illegally buy stubs on the cheap and get away with it. If you notice its not exactly forum regulars getting banned for this stuff
Yeah. Honestly I'm just amazed at how many people will just float their credit cards out there to those sketchy sites. Serves them right for trying to cheat. I love the charade, "I was just flipping cards" the best one I saw was some guy posted a picture of how he had 188 trouts and said it was a sds glitch.

I saw advertisements on several of the YouTubers and figured it was legit. Banned for a year. They should go after those sites not the customers who buy their game. I’ve bought 2 legit $100 bundles already. Was looking to save a dollar.

Out of curiosity how does that work? When you buy stubs elsewhere? I've seen the ads and know I can't do it but how do you get the stubs?
What do they do, hack the show to get them to you?

If we take the OP at their word and they only sold single Trout card then the ban was unwarranted given the weirdness that happened the other day.
Of course as someone else mentioned that SDS can look at all of our transactions so I am leaning on there being more to this story than a single card sale.

After reading this, I am more sure than ever that I will continue my approach of playing the previous year's version until fall, then get the newest version for a discount. By then all this market craziness has died down and it is a whole lot easier to build a good team by then without spending boatloads of real money on stubs or hours playing the 'market'. If this market is going to be so problematic, maybe it is time to remove it from the game. And I don't want to hear about how SDS makes needed money from selling stubs. They are wholly owned by Sony itself, so I don't think they need that little bit of extra cash.

Well like I said, this outfit is owned by the Sony Corporation, unlike EA sports or some other specialty company that only develops and sell video games. Sony is a monster and don't need the cash.
ETA: what they really need to do is fix their issues with being able to manufacture enough PS5 units to supply the market. That is a real embarrassment on their part.

Just because they "don't" need it, doesn't mean that they would forgo it.

No, and that is the problem. When "fake" money (stubs) flow into the market then the market has become corrupted.
Okay fine but THAT is on SDS for allowing the glitch to happen in the first place. This was NOT an issue where stub sellers caused the market to do this.

Your warning was when you first fire up the game; all that text that we all breezed through and accepted in order to play... in that text is where they lay out the rules. Don't buy stubs from 3rd party websites is in there.
