Can't sell player

Pulled Rafael Devers from the Faces of the Franchise Program. Want to sell him to buy Cedric Mullins. Card says "No Sell" and "Event". Googled the issue, found out I had to remove him from my Event lineup. Did that. Still won't let me sell it. Solution?

Yep that'd be it. sigh So, I have 165k XP and I have to get to 345k to get another chance at Mullins, or to sell another FotF player at 255k XP? Ugh.
