This is great. I currently have Ohtani, Mauer, and Tatis. Looking forward go grabbing the rest for cheap. The 88 Mauer has been one of my favorite hitters, but I couldn't justify the collection cost when I also have Adley.

Its a collection. They don't give you collection rewards for free and they never had. What they do give you are the cards in the collection, which in turn drives prices down. This won't be the only time they give out this pack. By the end of the year you won't need to spend a single stub on Mauer if you don't sell them off

Cover athlete prices have already dropped 10k compared to yesterday and the program isn't even out yet. It shouldn't be too difficult to put together enough stubs to finish the collection.

Yea you’re right I just checked the app- even though Cutch, Ortiz, judge, Bryce and Donaldson are still 25-30k stubs, the others have dropped
I got Miggy for my pre order- I just really want that 96 Mauer card

Good luck. I think alot of people are onto it now. Sell 2 days before. I waited on the astros until the program dropped and it cost me probably 50k.

This sounds fishy. Why would they create a program for a set reward that was available at launch?
There has to be something more to this. Perhaps we see a card for the missing The Show cover boy Puig (no thanks) or they will reach back to their PS2 days and give me the Bernie Williams card I deserve.
These cover athlete cards are already in limited supply and have been tanking in price. The program has to some how drive the price up rather than down.

Astros are exactly where I figured they would be. Made a nice profit, I plan on holding until the day after it drops. Then selling.

The announcement of the program is what drove them down in price. Judge was 40k yesterday. I think you are reading too much into it

Maybe, I am inclined to think we will get a prospect program that would require them to be used.
