SDS Claiming They “Fixed” Sinkers is Straight BS

I'm not sure they ever claimed to fix sinkers, just that they were less accurate up in the zone, which is mostly true. I'm not sure they have ever claimed for it to be a competitive experience either. They always market it as a simulation. I'm not defending this games problems by any means, but there is a lot of assumptions by this community that give them a false idea of what this game is supposed to be

I was sooo close to buying that and extremely glad I held offBack to Elden Ring and new game+
At least I earn what happens in that game. If I die, it was my fault, if I succeed, it’s due to my input
With this game? Lol yeah the outcome is taken out of your hands way more than ever
The RNG in this game is as rampant as ever and I firmly believe that’s a direct correlation to The Show being released on Switch and Xbox last year
Can’t have new users get beat and then not play anymore/spend money on IAP. Gotta make the outcomes even more random so they feel like they have a chance with a new shiny, better card
What a disgrace this game has become. I get it’s early and patches are coming. But I have 0 faith in SDS anymore

Not 100% sure but I believe they stated that they corrected the break of sinkers last year as well as decreasing accuracy. The break is as unrealistic as ever.
And they also claimed last year that “stick skills matter more than ever” which implies a competitive game which this is not. I get that was last year but man, idk.
I get your point and agree with you. Just frustrated with what this game has become and the obvious route it’s been heading down. I became addicted to DD back in 17, love baseball more than any sport but it’s sad to see what this game is becoming

I think most people are frustrated that their ceiling is not as high as they'd like it to be or they think it is or should be. When you get in that win 1, lose 1 and those L-L-W-L-L-L-W-W-L-W-L-L type of sequences it gets to you. That 25-10 ride to get there is fun and then WHAM!! reality slaps you in the face (still better than George Michael slapping you).

Skill is not my problem. This game and how awful it’s programmed is my problem. Cannot tell you how many ridiculous bloop hits I’ve seen on swings that produce hits that are physically impossible given the pitch location and swing timing

Yup. That is it exactly. When I saw that, I knew it wasn't going to be a fix. It's a little bit more of a deterrent, but not a fix.

The truth is that they want to, but they don't know how. They've been trying for years and never succeeded. So instead, they create this thing called PAR and then increase the PAR if you throw it up in the zone. They are trying to sell this as a means to combat the effectiveness of the sinker, but it doesn't do that at all. In my opinion, all this is just designed to try and take the attention away from the fact that they straight up don't know how to fix it without reprogramming the game entirely. Which we all know they haven't for god knows how long.

Invested in a monitor back in 19, it does help but it’s not like buying one will automatically make you better. Still takes time and practice, but a monitor does help you turn on high velo fastballs and also makes other games play well if you play other games/genres
Hardwired always with good internet specs even though this game still has freeze offs at a terrible and unacceptable rate
Just practice practice practice. I play a causal online game on legend before hopping into any other RS, BR game or event game to make sure my eye is fresh and timing is on
