I have a question about how this works. I made a SS build and made it to triple A by the end of the season and it would usually say play next and occasionally practice. The season ended and now it’s spring training and after every gsme you go to the clubhouse. How do I get back to improving my player without this?

Sounds like a bug that others have reported (for example in this thread).
If you want to continue progressing your ballplayer, the only option available right now is to start a new career file with the same player. You lose your career progress, e.g. you will have to start from AA again, choose your team, etc. On the bright side, your player abilities and archetype progress continue where you left off.

if you are asking when does training come back, you have to finish spring training and go to start of next season.
or if you are saying you can't go to start of next season as poster above me said people have reported that there is a bug not allowing them to begin 2nd season. -
