State of the Game

I try to stay positive on here but it's getting really hard. The hitting this year is close to the worse (2018) that it's ever been. The content which is usually the most consistently good thing about the game, is awful. The amount of perfect pattern pin point pitches that just hang in the middle of the zone is unreal. I love baseball and the show but I'm am having very little fun playing so far this year. I'm still playing daily but it just feels like a chore and not a fun way to relax. I really hope they do something soon but I'm not sure they will.

I can't speak to the gameplay because I play mostly offline. I think the content is definitely down compared to last year, however, there are plenty of things to do...but I understand where you're coming from. And unlike some people, you don't sound like a crying 5 year old when posting your thoughts hahaha, so already you're ahead of many.

Not even close. Online gameplay Is so bad compared to last year, and the only other year I really played online (2017). But offline the game is still decent. The content could be better. For example I though last year by this time we got a Jackie conquest and a conquest for the holiday. I miss all the free packs we got for TA last year, it was good for the players and the market.
I agree with the pitching, pitchers with 80 control have such a wide circle of where a perfect pitch can end up. Like 88 randy if you throw a perfect slider down and in to a righty, his possible landing location is so big it could still be dead center. It's the reason people think rng is involved heavily this year.
That and fouling off pitches and the bloop hits on junk way off the plate have me avoiding online play.
Hang in there OP it's still baseball.

I tend to agree with your assessments and I think you are pretty good at stating your opinions without having an emotional meltdown. OP did the same. It makes a huge difference in being able to engage in an objective conversation.....even for an Astros fan :). Kidding, I'm not a hater.
Last year the game came out on 4/20 (I'm sure you can guess why I remember that fondly). I'm hoping that since it was released 3 weeks earlier, that they are purposely rolling out content a bit slower but still have a ton in store.
When the game came out I was incredibly disappointed, mainly with the absence of TA. However, 3 weeks later and I'm starting find more reasons to enjoy it. I've even started to slowly play Mini Seasons, hoping some of the bugs have been worked out.
I'm with you...stick with it...hopefully it will continue to improve.

Yeah, I mean not having content to "grind" is extremely frustrating. I've played mini seasons 3 times, conquests are done except US one, program has been done for a week, events are borderline unplayable because of the shear amount of randomness, BR is fun I guess, RS is a disaster (13 games with 66 innings), the most fun that I've had is with the new co-op but you can't even finish a game or get rewards. I'm not sure how they plan on fixing these issues but I would love to see them expand the program to 1 mil+ xp.

Even if you have time to grind you may not get your rewards. Mini seasons isn’t letting many people play the championship match due to a “unexpected server error”

please specify where you are playing in these types of posts. hitting seems really great to me offline and i dont want them to screw it up cause ppl didnt say where hitting was terrible

Not that it really matters because that is the least of the issues but online mainly. Offline is fine I guess. The overall state of the game is in shambles though.
Edit: A change to hitting will be noticed in all modes though.

I gave up 7 (counted after the game) late hits in a BR match today. Bloop hit after bloop hit, and I just couldn’t hit well enough to come back. Had to turn the game off for awhile after that one

Hitting offline is the best it’s been in years. Online, seems like a lot of randomness but I’ve learned to just take it in stride and try to enjoy the game. At the end of the day, it’s just a VG.

I like the fact they call this shnit show a baseball simulation ... The biggest point and also the basic one of how this is NOT a simulation is : BASEBALL IS FUN. Thank you SDS keep on streaming and try to shove this dump of a game in our a*s.

Try continually playing opponent's over 1,000 miles away. It is flat miserable. I like the HOF game but not at warping pitch speeds with people that far away.
