Market is Trash Right Now

I would venture a guess that at least 50% of the early access players know how to flip and are doing so. The ones that get the game tonight probably not so much
And then we flippers profit!
-
I mean pretty much any veteran who plays this game knows how to flip, knows how to be nms and a good deal of people come to these forums and brag how to do it, so SDs changed a few things year... I mean people abusing the app last year to a point where once again people had too many Stubbs and we had Cards like Killebrew and Turner unable to be bought. I believe the flips will return when the general public and game pass players return and aren’t sure what to do.

Play the game?
Spoken like someone who doesn’t know how to work the market. Have fun not getting collections done until next March
You're the guy who literally doesn't know how to work the market. You said so in your original post.....
"I identify a card I want to flip, put a buy order in equal to the lowest order available and next thing I know I’m like 10th in line."
I’m literally entitled to the cards.
lol see that's the thing - you are entitled to absolutely nothing - remember that as you go about your day - don't cry, make wine out of those tears
I am entilted to every thing I earn and whatever is free lol
see - that is the right spirit mate there we go

You my friend remind me of WIll Smith... Both of you cannot take a joke.
hey while we are doing some role playing - you remind me of Jada, 3 hard rods in your mouth, getting worked by everyone in this forum, and absolutely loving it

I mean you would know a thing or two. Your name is literally HungryHole.

It's always that way until after the early access expires. It will get much better soon
Or maybe not so much.

No, its still easy.

It's been tough this year compared to last several years. The card prices have changed a bit and it's more difficult to find profit margins that are pretty reliable.

I've managed to do just fine tbh. Bronze to silver exchanges were a gold mine for a while, now ik focusing on investing cards while flipping the few good margins there are.

This weekend has been much better for sure. It should only get better.

Here's a shocker: I'm someone who actually admits I probably DON'T know how to take full advantage of the market and flipping optimally, etc. Somewhat new to it. Any great in depth guides anyone can recommend to learn the tricks of the trade?

Easiest way is to buy late at night or early morning during the week like Wednesday and then sell on the weekends during the busy hours. That's what I do. I bought jazz xhison last night at 1 am for 17k just sold then for 25k. Rinse and repeat.
I don't buy cards I wouldn't want to get stuck with.

Not sure how to manipulate the prices or keep tabs on them. I really don't buy cards, I just sometimes sell ones that I pull that are very expensive and look to reacquire later.

Just look for margins on anything you can find. Buy low sell high. That's pretty much all. I've been doing it for many years now and it's (usually) a great way to get the expensive cards for collections. Makes obtaining Trout seem doable.

With these being virtual cards I'm not sure how or why their prices change, much less which ones to target.

Same reason the price of anything changes: supply/demand.

But wouldn't that pretty much just come into play towards the end of the season?

Well it could be anything. Not just players. Any item is possible to sell. One thing you have to get over is fear of losing stubs. It is actually pretty difficult to lose stubs. Look around find something small and start that way. As you make more stubs, start buying more expensive items. You'll become a pro in no time. Set some bids, play the game, go back and check, repeat. You can do it.

So today was the first day I actually decided to try and flip for this new game cycle. If you’re ok with 1000-2000 stub margins then I think the market is starting to open up. Mainly flipped the anime cards today and probably netted a little more than 50K over the course of a few hours.

Separation between cost and profit doesn't happen until the first real stat update, but yeah they did make it a bit tougher to flip for profit
