I'm currently like 16-4 on my 3rd run through of mini seasons. First time on veteran, second time on allstar, this time on HOF so I'll get all the challenges complete if I win the championship. This is the most fun I've have in an offline game mode. The only thing it needs is a stats page, I'd like to see how the hitters and pitchers performed through those 30ish game on HOF. it's hard to get a gauge on who your best with when you are smashing the cpu on lower difficulty.
My pack luck hasn't been the worst, not the best either, the hughest diamond ive pulled was billy wagner. I think a championship run on HOF and with allstar players (10 HRs) you get around 25 standard packs 3 biah and maybe 2 prospect packs. Can't beat it.
I really hope the add to it moving forward. I'd like more missions like the hit 10HRs with all star players. Maybe get 50 hits with Breakout or somthing. I love playing with new cards.
100% agree about recognizing stats for the specific season. I was thinking that as I gave up a few hits + runs to the Lichtenstein (best of best) squad.
I completed the USA map once, but definitely think seasons has more reward value than the map (even if I don’t pull trout every time!).

You can do the repeatable conquest in 40 minutes for 5 packs. 7 minutes to fill the board, then get a run and bunt the rest each game. Maybe 30 minutes.

Yeah but it gets super boring. I spent a whole Saturday doing that while simultaneously earning mission pxp. I think at the end of the day I opened 80 packs.

Mystery map is nice, but after a dozen times i just cant stand to play CLE CAL or ATL anymore

I do the mystery map once as a warm up before I go to mini seasons.

If I have an hour to burn before I go to bed I’ll run through the mystery map. The last 30 packs I’ve opened have been do do from it. I still get excited though seeing those packs pile up.
As far as diamond pulls I’ve gotten a fair amount.

PujolsBesides pujols nothing worth a bunch. I sold Pujols. Can’t hit with him. I still have Harper on my bench and I love Freeman, he’s in the starting line up.

Thanks man, definitely has tempered the little itch I have for packs early in the year. Between seasons + BR that’s been feeding the beast thus far. My obligatory 50 pack first night landed the vlad + Soto and everything since was free packs.
Just hit 100 in BR so taking on the events next.

How was br for you. When I first jumped on it seemed like it was on veteran difficulty then towards the end of the program this weekend it got really sweaty. Are there placement rounds? Or multiple difficulties for the different skilled plauers?
I was scoring 9 runs a game then lucky to get 3 -
I've pulled Semien, Machado and I got a chase pack that netted Soto through mini seasons.

The BIAH packs, while fewer in quantity this year seem to yield better odds for me than in years past. If doing mini seasons Otis definately worthwhile to play onAS or HOF to get the extra BIAH packs.
Still, I wish there were a simple way to dump out of the mini season when I see that more than half of the teams I am placed with have 99 Randy Johnson. What are the odds?

I was scoring 9 runs a game then lucky to get 3Man, i had a similar sort of experience first sequence. Had 2 6 win runs back to back, and then just slumped here this weekend. Got a few more 3 win runs but was definitely struggling recently.
As far as placements, it works the same way as events where you match up with similarly ranked people in their runs. So starting out you won’t go against someone with 10 wins, it’ll be someone who’s 0-0, 1-0, 0-1 and then just progress there as you win (or lose!).
But I am a big advocate of the program reward path in BR; in prior years the mode wasn’t entirely accessible/rewarding if not getting at least 9 win runs (which I’ve only done a handful of times), so with the missions and the reward path, it’s absolutely become my preferred online mode.

I haven’t done it myself yet, but you do have the option to restart a season anytime (think square from main menu?). If you do that it should result in new teams being generated, though I think you’ll always have 1-2 teams that are current god squads.
I’ll keep an eye on it myself moving forward, but I think they are trying to have tiers of teams based on the overall rating, that way you do have some lower overall teams mixed in and not just every team is ultimate god squad.

There is a way to avoid going up certain pitchers in mini seasons mode. Similar to conquest, the order that your pitcher is in the rotation based on rating is the same that will be used by your opponent. The only time this can be an issue is if two pitchers have the same rating. Also, with stamina regenerating quicker, I mostly avoid using my ace except for maybe as a reliever in emergency situations.

Not really. Yesterday I just sold off extra inventory (I'm a pack addict), ended up buying a 20 pack bundle. I got a Chase pack with a low diamond, and two other diamonds. I open thousands of packs a year, and it goes in spurts.
There may be days I don't pull a Diamond, but then I end up pulling several close together. It's been that way for me every year.
I don't know if it's a time of day thing, a certain number of packs in between thing, or how many others are online at the moment.
But there is a clear pattern, and friends that open a ton have the same experience.
