Online Hitting Can't be Fixed

Hitting is as random as its ever been in my 3 years of playing the show. I've witnessed it both in my favor and against.
I have 2 RS games and about 70 event games under my belt #SampleSize.
There's no way to defend this game play at all. There are way too many times the results are just out of your control. Multiple squared up balls for outs and the next inning its multiple HR's for your opponent.
Why can't they reward bad input with singles and doubles, why so many HR's!

Timing window feels super inconsistent. Between Veteran in RS and AS in both RS and Events (Roughly 50 games), I can't find consistency. One game I can turn on 101-102, the next game im underwater with a bat.

I have 0 motivation to continue grinding events. It’s more frustration than fun. Clearly SDS wants hitting to be this way and it’s not gonna change.
Hard to believe w how excited I was for this game, but I’m kinda over it. If online gameplay isn’t rewarding, it defeats the whole purpose.

This sounds like the classic mlbts p2p latency issues that plagues online gameplay for many. I really wish they had a ping notification before going into a game.
I have only played BR so far, as far as online H2H, and every other game, and I agree, it seems that the timing windows are considerably different.
Even going against the same pitcher cards -- One game, I can see all the pitches well, and am even early at times on fastballs ...and then the next game I am late on everything and the pitches seem to be more difficult to pick up out of the pitcher's hand.

I kind of feel the same way. Was so excited for this, but the game just feels enpty. Seems like something is missing but I can't put a finger on it.

Agreed. It can't be fixed, so instead they'll just put their heads in the sand and never address it, then try to make excuses to cover up their incompetence.

There used to be a time where you could pitch middle of zone and it wasn't automatic HR. Now it's just look for it in the corner boring game as far as h2h goes anyway.

Hitting is awful
This is my first comment on the gameplay after a ton of event games and BR games
RNG is rampant as ever. Exit velocities are all a dice roll. The only good thing is the hitting physics, that’s it
Nothing else about this game has improved
Regret buying 22 already

Hilariously enough - pitching down the middle gives me more success pitching than dotting the corners and having the opponent mash those perfectly over the fence.

Agree. Sounds like connection issues. I haven't seen many issues but haven't hit HOF in RS yet though. That will be the true test for me.

That's kinda why I said it. It's about as original as these type of post were the user is looking for any excuse besides the facts that they just aren't good at the game.

I'm glad it's not just me. I was lost in BR yesterday, and today I'm Pitching Rebel. Well, not quite.
Everything just blew past me yesterday, but today everything looks like a beach ball.

FACTS! My timing has been bad and I cant seem to get any consistency so its nice to see its not just me.

HR/9 was only in the game for 1 year, and it caused the lineout fest that was 19

Last night I demolished DeGrom, turning on his 102 for bombs or early, high velo foul moon shots… yep, I’ve gotten in… da… zone. Next game late on 93 sinkers and 90 cutters

No i am referring to real old school 2009,10, and 11. Contact/Power was screwed up on backend of server the year u r referring too. They addressed that issue.
