It has and always will matter how well you hit. The really good players can overcome the games deficiencies and win. They are beating the game and you. Average players allow these issues to impact them more because they are not good enough to overcome the game and the opponent. This is especially true when the opponent is getting luckier than you.

Just by reading the forum it seems like the great players who post here never have had lucky hits. It is always to the benefit of their less skilled opponents and never to them.
