First RTTS character I created was a SP, have since been called up to the majors and am pitching for the Mets. Decided I wanted to create a second player, this one a RP. So I choose "More Options" on RTTS on the main menu, select "Start New", create a new player. Once I'm done making him it just drops this new player into the existing save of my first player. Like, this new guy I just created is on the Mets and a SP. How do I make it so this new character I created starts from scratch getting drafted, playing in the minors, etc?

First, choose your ballplayer: from the start menu, go top-left to your profile, click Manage, then select your already created ballplayer.
Next, start a new career: from the start menu, go to the RTTS but click the More Options button, then choose to start a new career.

As long as they are position compatible, you can play any ballplayer in any career file.

Did the trick, thank you very much. Not sure why they made switching files so convoluted.
