How to get ohtani in the lineup
-
I can’t seem to get ohtani into my lineup as DH. I’ve set him as my ace because I immediately extended his contract and gave him the ace role so I can’t add him as a DH. Will I have to change my lineup after every game he starts as a pitcher to set him as my DH and then will I have to change it before he pitches so he doesn’t get replaced with another pitcher. Don’t know why I can’t just have him pitch and hit in the same game.

I was disappointed to come across this last night as well. I’ve spent a couple hours setting the 26 man rosters for every team and putting in all injuries. I’m pretty frustrated to hear that the team boasted about being able to use ohtani just like the angels do but that is not correct. Maybe in some other mode they permit that but it doesn’t appear to be the case in franchise, which is all I play.

It’s the cover athlete and the mvp of the AL last year!!! It’s not like we are complaining about a Double A player not having the right setup.

DD trumps Ohtani and/or realism.

Somebody on Operation Sports forums said that he has 9 years of data showing that the cpu has him bat in 162 games and pitch in 33 games. It's a shame we can't do that, like was advertised.

Here is what I’ve noticed, you can’t have them bat and pitch same game. And you can’t set your lineup in the main menu to have him dh unless it’s a game where he isn’t set to be the starter.

I have noticed if he is your #1 starter, he can't be put in line up, but if he's #2 he can be, but doesn't show up as available on his pitching days.

There is a way to glitch him into LF, and have 6 starters.
