games, be able to spend your contract money, more

cutscenes after clutch hits/playsI like most of these in theory, but the downside is that most of it will get repetitive. You play almost 200 games a season, and if you have interviews with even half of them, cutscenes before and after, and cutscenes after clutch hits, it will get real repetitive because the content will get recycled. I like being able to spend your contract money, and I think it should be implemented like 2K where your contract is a value of your VC that your earn per game. Do that with stubs and it might work and make negotiation meaningful.

Some people can't afford it, some people don't want to because their ps4 still works fine.

Others, like me, cant get one because there are none available!Exactly; I'm not going to spend 1K bucks to buy from a scalper. It's not money available, it's principles. When I'm able to walk in and out of a Best Buy and pick one from the shelves, that's when I'll get it.
I've been a PS guy since the original, considered switching to Xbox S just for availability; after toying with one for a couple of days, not worth it IMO. I'll wait; the PS4 backlog is huge; I'm on my 3rd try of Nioh right now.

That said, even though they might be expensive there are plenty of PS5's available. The series X on the other hand, you can just go walk into a store and buy it at MSRP with cash.

That's entirely up to them. That's not a reason to hold back the advancement of the product for everyone else.

Would be nice for those of us with current gen, but won't happen. SDS is all about expanding user base, i.e., monetizing as much as possible. And the vast majority of users are last gen.
Also: [censored] the Switch. Will hold things back even more.

that is why the game this year is stagnant - they spend all their time adding more systems to play and the coding for it, disregarding actual gameplay development

Last time I checked here in Canada, the X isn't on the shelves either. Sold out in store and online.

If they go next GEN they cut profits less than half, most of us still do not have next GEN,

We all know there is going to come a time when they quit making games for the PS4 the same way they quit making games for every system that came before, and until that time comes the advancement of the game is going to be held back. Next year will be year 3 of a typical 7 year console life cycle, at some point you have to move on or get stuck in the past.

Yes, but again this ain't a typical console life cycle; there was a shortage before Covid hit, which compounded the problem. No sense moving forward if you can't sell units that don't exist.

Just more money in last gen. It'll probably be 3 years before the build a new gen version.
