I've played a bunch of NMS players that are terrible as well. Who cares how they get their team? I spent my normal $100 on opening night and have AL West done as well as 70% of the total collection. Also, Kirk Gibson is amazing.
Flipping and decent pulls?
Basically. I've probably opened well over 1000 packs. Buy a bundle, sell everything in it and repeat. Only keeping the big boys. In the first 4-5 days I was able to completely recoup the cost of almost every bundle by selling the contents.
I bought a few 10 packs and pulled a few of those Chase packs I got LS diamonds I sold to help get the dodger collection done. I flipped cards of teams I am doing collection on, I buy 3-5 each to make a profit of the ones that have a decent margin even if it only gets me 40 stubs back it all adds up, I use those flip to continue buying players from the collection, I know I could go such for better margins but for me it is easier this way, I am one card from the NL west and about Half way with the NL Central. I sell almost everything I get to use it toward the team I am trying to collect.

I really thought Okazaki cards along with the cover cards would go up in price yesterday since new players would buy some and you cant get them in packs. I think the headliners helped to drive them down instead, so clearly I have no idea what I'm doing lol.
Wait, the anime cards can be obtained in packs? This is news to me. Standard Packs, Headliner Packs, BOAH Packs, which packs?

I don’t know about him, but I pulled Trout on launch night. He’s not THAT hard to pull. I’ve gotten him multiple times every year.

I detailed that above I believe. I opened 1500+ packs in the first 4 days. Pulled Trout, Turner (x2), Acuna, Vlad, Max (x4), Burnes (x6), Pujols (x4), Ohtani and a ton of lower guys. Buy a bundle, sell everything under 90 ovr/dupes, recover more than cost of bundle and repeat. Doesn't work now, only during early access every year. I've done it for the last 3 years with great success.
Edit: Actually just checked pack history. I have opened 2,475 packs (99 pages x 25 per page). I won't buy packs the rest of the year though, I'll only open free packs.

I don’t know about him, but I pulled Trout on launch night. He’s not THAT hard to pull. I’ve gotten him multiple times every year.
I am not a statistics major, but if the odds of pulling a diamond from a regular pack are 1:50 and the odds of pulling a high diamond from that diamond pack when you hit it are 1:10 and there are 8 high diamonds. Would the odds of getting Trout be 50x10x8 or 1:4000 packs?

I don't understand your question. I bought them with stubs using only my initial $100 investment, if that is what you are asking. I haven't invested more than $100 not including the cost of the digital deluxe version in the 3 years I have been using this method.
