So, I have seen kluber a ton. I started off using strike zone this year, and that made kluber look like the best pitcher to ever step foot in the league. So, I switched to strike zone high. Now, kluber and almost every other pitcher feels super hittable. I’m not saying you’re going to put up 15 a game off of him, but you’re gonna figure him out a lot quicker. The first game I saw him after switching I forced 75 pitches through 3 innings and put up 10 runs in the game. I’m not sure how many people hit in strike zone, but strike zone high definitely helps, especially with the speed change on sinkers and change ups and the low slurves and cutters. Just don’t let people get to Rollie fingers. He’s so much better than he was last year.
Kluber 99 is a tease. Velo and HR/9 are too low, so you get plenty of time to square up and when you do... boom every time. I grabbed Fingers instead.
HR/9 has no effect in online. It's only for simulations like franchise.
I have asked this of SDS forever and no response. do you have somewhere you can cite that confirms this? or is this just your belief?
-
I've done this in the past and it helped me briefly. I started chasing high too often so reverted.
-
HR /9 is a totally useless stat in my opinion . If I get a perfect perfect off newhouser which has 99 stat for HR/9 it’s a homer pretty much every time

Well considering there was a patch last year specifically removing HR/9 from online play after first adding it in 19(they talked about adding it in a pre-19 stream), and they again made a point in a pre-release stream this year that HR/9 is simulation only, i’m guessing HR/9 is simulation only

I tend to always pull back to k zone 2 since normal k zone I can't pick low pitches up as well

Shoulda been here for MLB 15 when guys were hitting with pitcher view so they could see the grip on the ball and knew what pitch was coming lmfao

Yes, during the Dev tournament they confirmed that HR/9 still does nothing in game. It was removed halfway through the year last year because everyone hated it.

If I remember right, it's a balance of the following, but I don't know how heavily certain attributes are weighed in the algorithm:
Vision
Contact
Power
H/9
K/9Might be forgetting one if someone knows more and can add or correct

They disabled it last year, and this year during a stream they confirmed it was still disabled before the game came out

Stamina has an effect on gameplay, but that is fairly obvious so I can see why you forgot to mention it. Discipline I believe has an effect on how effective you are at check swinging, even though check swings have been broken. The only unknown is clutch. No one has ever had proof that it does or doesn't have an effect on the game

Yeah knew I was forgetting one. Stamina. Discipline affects the ability to check swing. Clutch impacts performance with runners on base (but who knows to what extent or how)

Its hard to prove too. I can say it does from my experience, but that may just be coincidence. My highest clutch is my pinch hitter and after a 100 AB sample, he is the highest OPS on my team because I only bring him in in "clutch" situations (runners on base, down runs, late innings). So I tend to believe its factored in, but who knows if its just because he is also one of my best hitters. I wish they would just come out and say what are all factored in and what are not.

I made that switch last year with sinkerballers and generally crushed them after doing that. Early in the season hershiser was owning me and I just tried it mid game and it worked so I stayed with it. I only do it with guys who primarily through the sinker I’ve toyed with it on other occasions and felt like strike zone was still better. This especially helped with guys who continually try to throw the sinker high.

Strike zone is a must on legend this year, but strike zone high has worked pretty well for me against everyone on half of fame

How do you figure this? Stamina is about as meaningless as most of the other ratings. I've worked pitchers to 100 pitches through 6 and, even though their meter shows drained they are still hitting the corners at top speed. Just for the heck of it I played the NL Central challenge against Bauer. There is this back story that the bullpen is drained so he has to finish. His energy level was depleted in the 6th. In the 8th inning he was at 135 pitches and still dominating.
To be honest there really isn't a whole lot I've found about this game that aligns with ratings or difficulty levels.

I put up 7 runs on Kluber last night on HOF, he isnt that hard for me to hit.
