To my Bro's - Thank you!
-
On this, the last day of 21, I want to say thank you to my Bro's. These guys brought me from my infancy of playing for years on Franchise (with my own 99 created players) on the easiest level to where I am now: Diamond Dynasty, All-Star (sometimes Veteran or Legend), and Zone hitting.
This has been my first full year of DD and now I get it.
I used to think it was the craziest thing to collect virtual cards, only to have to start over again the next year. I didn't get it.
I didn't understand the market and why people would spend real money to buy stubs, or why they would spend stubs on virtual cards...for Pete's sake...those things are used for my budget to sign my players so they don't get traded away. I didn't get it.
I didn't understand why anyone would play RTTS when you could just create a monster player (or a whole team of them) and kill the CPU each and every time. It took my sons and DD to get me to understand that.
It puzzled me why guys would form leagues and play online. I really didn't get it (I still don't like to play online except for friendlies).
These guys taught me the wisdom of a wired connection and using a monitor (instead of my 65" TV with the video and audio going through my decade-old stereo).
I thought I knew this game pretty well when I really didn't know it at all.
I may be older than all but one of them, but these guys are like the big brothers I never had. These guys are my Bro's. To each and every one of you: (in no particular order) Jason, Kevin, Fred, Joe, Chris, Marcus, Vinny, Vin, Shawn, Jeff, Sonny, Wyatt, Arvin, Dave, and Mike. Thank you!
Sometimes a game is not about a game at all...
I know this is corny, but I really appreciate you guys!!!!!

(If you're not tagged it's because I don't remember your ID - not because I wanted to leave you out). -
And thank you for passing on what you've learned to those of us brand new to the game.
-
Cliff, we have gotten as much from you as you from us.....Looking forward to keeping it rolling, my friend!

You got it brother. I hope I'm not speaking out of turn but we will always be there for you. Looking forward to the next friendly. Even though I'm way older than you, you're killing me that you are retired and I'm not yet. HAHA I hope to this year though and then we can do friendlies anytime we want.

Let's do it. I think the friend restriction (even though a workaround was found) was only for the tech test.

I appreciate you as well, Cliff! We've all learned from each other and that's what makes this community and our group so much fun to be a part of. Looking forward to being part of it for 22 as we are now 6 hours and 45 minutes away!
