Is it going to be in the game again? Or is that they’re fix to the non PCI bs….just hide it.

I mean, you can still see your own, so it doesnt matter. It doesnt fix anything because you will know from seeing your feedback. They will probably just get rid of opponents feedback because they cant get it to work right do to desyncing and such. So why keep showing incorrect feedback and causing 2 problems.

IRL you have to visually decide how your opponent swung at the last pitch. And it is just as easy in game to tell. So why not leave it at that.

I don't think your pitcher should be able to see swing feedback, if we're going for realism.
Obviously you can't in the real game.
Maybe I like to sit in spots with certain players.
Then again, with silly zone hitting, anything within a foot of the plate can be hit to Antarctica if you time it right.
Ironically, if you use directional/"timing" hitting, timing is probably the 4th or 5th thing that determines whether you hit the ball. Player attributes, pitcher per 9/'s, and card power attributes decide everything.
    Odd.

Is there any positive effect to seeing an opponents feedback? Does it change how you pitch? Seems to me that all it does is give people a reason to complain. It could be great 99% of the time and people would still be up in arms about the other 1%

And some day someone will have to explain why, if directional hitting, is somehow so easy and simply a matter of timing why don't any top players use it?

See high floor low ceiling. Because thats my explanation for penalized. Its all a matter of how much dice roll is applied. For the more difficult interface you have less dice roll. But you still have it. For something like directional you will have more, and unfortunately sometimes that dice is going to come up high and that person using an easier interface is going to get good results, and the better the cards they are using the more it's going to happen.

    — Your question has been answered. This was nflmans answer above and a pretty good one.

The top players don’t use it because your luck is better with zone. A directional hitter can be competitive with nothing more than the push of a button, it’s just a matter of how lucky they get with the RNG. So, should this game hand out wins based on luck?

You will never hear a top player trash directional because it's harder, and they wouldn't get out of the Division Series if they used it.
Much easier to get your PCI in the right zip code and watch it fly.
I use both, depending on the pitcher.
The folks who play DD H2H know this is true...
Which is why no one has ever answered this question:
If Directional is so easy, why don't you use it?

Just swing away and hope the numbers fall your way. Kinda like a combo between a baseball game and a slot machine at the casino.

Why do you switch to directional depending on the pitcher? Hope you get lucky using directional combined with RNG?

Some players want to increase they’re chances with the RNG, using zone, instead of solely relying on the RNG, using directional. It’s not a question of “if WINNING is so easy with directional”….rather “why is directional allowed during online competitive gameplay if it’s pure RNG based and no stick skills are being used?”

Like you stated….it’s a viable option at times when your stick skills are not good.

Well quite simply they don’t use it because when you go into settings anytime in the last 10 years it clear as day states that the easier the setting you choose the less effective it will be.. The process of timing a swing is quite obviously EASIER than timing a swing AND aiming a PCI. That isn’t a debate. It’s simple math, 2 minus 1. The reward you get is not equal, so yes, Directional is much much easier, the same way Pulse is much much easier than Pinpoint, the result you get isn’t the same, and shouldn’t be. So that would be the obvious reason top tier players don’t use it. If you get 10 perfect swings with Zone and 10 perfect swings with Directional the directional hitter should NEVER come out ahead as stated by the manual in game.

If you use direction that’s cool, nobody really cares, so you shouldn’t take offence when someone comes on here and blames your input setting for a loss. If you beat a zone player with directional it’s because they are so bad at zone that even with the increased effectiveness, they still didn’t have the user skill to have it manifest into a win. That’s on them, thinking there better than they are and learning the hard way. Tell them to try batting practice or home run derby.

And to your original question, I think feedback should be completely removed during at bats. But the reason people want to see it is quite obviously for transparency. Some ALOT more than others, but if you want people to accept a defeat, let them see it. You cant just tell the Seahawks the Pats intercepted the ball on the one and expect them to move on without watching it happen.

10 is nowhere near a big enough sample size. Minimum 100.

General awareness of statistical significance would reduce complaints on this forum by around 20%.

Edit: that applies to the ‘I bought 50 packs and got no diamonds’ posts as well which I’m sure we will start seeing in a few weeks.

Yes, if I know you are swinging early to try and hit high inside heat, a change-up down and inside will make you look foolish.

Directional v Zone -- It's known that Zone gives you more control and directional is impacted much more by a RNG.

Hahaha. Directional is most definitely not harder. It's more random though. That's why "top players" (and a bunch of regulars as well) prefer zone hitting. This question has been answered a gazillion times already so not sure what your post is trying to achieve here. Maybe you're trying to tell us that you use directional and you're defending why you use it? Guess what, nobody cares. Last time I checked you can't hit either way, so use whatever you prefer just like anyone else should use whatever they prefer.

No way this game should hand out wins based on luck....luck is such a dirty dirty word in gaming

Wins should be handed out...." dynamically ".

    Come on guys. Really?
I use both. And I'm not a great hitter, but that's a moot point. I am 60 games over .500, so I know how to win.
The reason most players use zone is because you can sit dead center, use contact swing, and at least foul pitches off.
Then there is the fact that you can defy physics and hit pitches 2 feet off the plate not only fair, but in the gap and even HR's.
You can pull a slider out of the strike zone with power into the gap with Pee Wee Reese.
I say anything over your head, or way off the plate should never be hit fair, or hit hard because it just doesn't happen.
Why you fellas are taking it personally I don't know. It's a shot at the game mechanics. Not your personal preferences.
