Legend lmao and looks nothing like him
Legend just means past player, i mean it's better then some of the other reveals have been. Justin morneau for instance

No card for him in a dodger uniform, As long as I have Gagne no need for Wilson

SDS pulling out all the stops for player rights. Underwhelming choices so far.
-
Is it me or do people beg for cards one year then call them underwhelming the next year when they are announced?
Last year was MVP Mookie Betts and Alfonso Soriano. Everyone was asking for those cards in 20 then saw a bunch of people bashing them in 21.
I'm not saying the legends have been great this year but I feel like there is never consistency to the complaints on this forum -

Brian Wilson it is.
They did not do his beard justice in the slightest. @TEXAS10PT_PSN thoughts?
Bad Bad Bad. They have his beard shorter than Romo's and it was way longer. Plus it is not black enough. It is known that Brian Wilson used black shoe polish to color his beard.
My son thought there was a chance it was Rod Beck which would have been pretty cool too.

If Wilson throws gas he won't be underwhelming I would imagine

Legends very underwhelming this year if no Johnson.

Brian Wilson is a good addition. Pet Sounds is one hell of an album, as is SMiLE.

Except SDS wouldn’t add him because of the drug history. Even The Beach Boys are not above SDS canceling them.

Good point, those boys knew how to get around.

I'm not saying the legends have been great this year but I feel like there is never consistency to the complaints on this forumIt usually comes down to their swing. I dont know that anyone was ever asking for Jimmie Foxx but he has a great swing so most people love him now and if he got pulled from the game most people would be mad. Soriano seemed like a great addition and his attributes were strong but most people didnt like his swing. If Justin Morneau or Kevin Youkilis have good swings people will probably love them even though no one was asking for them. Imagine how bad it would be if they finally got Arod and his swing ended up being terrible.

Morneau, Utley, and Howard all had good swings when they were still in the game for what its worth. And a lot of the noise makers on twitter and such I question if they are even fans of baseball. I've seen quite a few today that didn't know who Brian Wilson is. I get it that most of the people saying that are young but the fact the people want an Adelberto Mondesi card over a guy like Morneau, or the legends that didn't get a top card this year says a lot about the community IMO

I'm not saying the legends have been great this year but I feel like there is never consistency to the complaints on this forumThat is always the case. They want Pedro, Soriano, Vinny Castilla or whoever, and then dont use them anyway. I see all the begging for Manny/McGwire to be humorous also. They would end up being bench bats for those people. As soon as they get them, they wouldnt be fast enough, or play good enough defense to make their lineups.
-
Out of all the cards that have left the game I miss Ty Cobb the most, I would not care how good they made Koufax I would use him just like I used Fernando this year, I P5 both of his cards. There is not point in complaining over a good. When cards have a glitch swing that such as Mondesi that is a problem.

I see what you did there LOL

I personally think the Randy debacle has put a wet blanket on this year's new legends. I'm still hoping it was just leaked early and we get him in which case, that has to be one of the best new legends in a long time.
I'm also hoping they have held a few big names back but I'm not unhappy about who they've announced. Morneau and Gibson will be fun, Brian Wilson should be a good reliever. I'm really looking forward to Howard, Utley, Mauer and Mussina. I just wish they'd address Randy, but I guess We'll know soon enough.

I don't think that's always the case. I would love to use Gibson, Seaver, Pedro and Maddux but they are unusable because they don't have outlier. PPP and Outlier are ruining the game. There are plenty of guys who touch or touched 100mph a few time a game but really the only starters I can remember who did it consistently were Feller and Ryan (Maybe deGrom a few times) My point is that many starters in this game have outlier and they can throw 102 on every fastball they throw throughout the game which is unrealistic in my mind anyway.

Yea I remember using Morneau a lot years ago and hitting well with him. As far as pitchers I think pitch mix is important but also release point. If someones delivery hides the ball long enough they are brutal. I think that was what made cabrera so tough early on. Wilson may be nasty if he has a funky delivery and good pitch mix.
