I am very new to video games and I saw Elden Ring played for the first time today.....holy wow!!!! What an amazing game. Huge world. I've heard great things about Horizon too.
I'm so new to video games, MLBTS 21 is the first game I've played regularly since I was a kid and I am just now starting Skyrim because after many years of saying I didn't like video games, it turns out I really do.
Any suggestions, I'm all ears.
Elden ring is amazing but if you’ve never played a souls game you may find it to be obtuse. Watch some videos on YouTube, twitch, etc before you invest. It’s the kinda game where if you do some research on how to play it can be very rewarding. If you go in and try to just mash everything you’ll be frustrated very quickly. There’s a lot of nuance to it and it would benefit you to understand what you’re getting into before you pull your hair out from frustration. In my 35 years of gaming (I’m 44), it’s the best I’ve ever played.
Awesome, thanks for the heads up, yeah my buddies have told me the same thing. They had me try Bloodborne for a little while and I was not good hahaha. I was told Skyrim was a more beginner friendly game (not that it's easy, just easier) and to just cut my teeth exploring that world.
Put it this way, I've never been a huge fan of watching other people play video games and I watched Elden Ring for like 2 hours today and was thoroughly entertained and intrigued the whole time. It helps that my friend is good but the graphics, lush world, the soundtrack, everything is fantastic.
I've heard a lot about Breath of the Wild too, what's that one like? Zelda I believe? Total newbie.

Played video games all my life, Elden Ring is the greatest I've ever played. Its Dark Souls meets Breath of the Wild.

Yes Zelda, arguably the best game on Switch. I played it but it felt too 'kiddie' for me. But not a bad game at all

And imo its well placed. If BotW threw you off for being kiddy, Elden Ring is gritty and somber.

It’s a great game but as far as a racing sim F1 is miles ahead for me. If you haven’t tried it see if the old one is on sale, pure racing sim, real damage to cars, zero pay to win structure and it’s made by the best gaming company in the world.
