If they implemented two different modes for RS, each with its own path identical to what we have now, which one would you prefer?

Simulation - Basically what we have now. Everything is at the mercy of RNG and the simulation aspect. Dice roll hitting system.

Pure PvP - Simulation is toned way down allowing for the players to battle it out without something in the middle trying to influence outcomes. Hits are determined by only good PCI placement, no non PCI home runs or bloop hits with bad PCI placement. You put the PCI on the ball and are rewarded. No random, game forced errors. Simply the players are 100% in control and stick skills truly do reign supreme. This mode would lead to high scores, if the player is capable of doing so.

I’ve always wondered, if SDS would try 2 different modes for the course of the year….which mode would be most played/preferred by the end.

Lastly, the graphics and presentation would be the same between the modes, they would just play completely different.

Then pitchers have no influence on the game, No matter what the Attributes are.

Come on over to online rated and see otherwise

I play online mostly when game first releases, To say hitters should be rewarded 100 percent takes away pitchers attributes IMO. If you want HR derby then go play that mode, I do agree to much RNG online but there has to be a balance just because of hit a perfect perfect does not mean it should be rewarded 100 percent of the time depending the pitcher, That is all. i guess they could just make the hitters PCI smaller depending on the pitcher's Attributes.

Lol you’ve played 3 minutes of regular teams (online rated)
    https://mlb21.theshow.com/universal_profiles/dbarmonstar

I have played around 150 RS games in 21. I earned Sandberg for the first WS reward at 40 wins. I played BR about 3 times and a ton of event games. that is more than 3 minutes, The 3 min is under Play now

Yea that’s what I’m saying. You replied pitching attributes don’t matter

Pitcher Attributes do not matter look at the HR out of the zone, way outside or in the dirt, foul balls for days. lets just make where it is 100 percent about hitting. This is a baseball game with pitchers and hitters not just batting practice

Lol online rated regular teams where there are no 125 attributes and all 99s yes pitchers do matter

Just put directional hitters in their own path/league and don’t allow RS interplay until WS level. That would solve a lot of problems.

Also, events should specify input type.

There’s a lot of RNG with zone but I’d be content with losing to another zone hitter who’s placement was better than mine, I feel that’s the difference between zone hitters when it comes to winning/losing despite the RNG.

With directional it’s pure RNG and the fact that you can lose to a directional player due to pure luck on they’re side is not a good look for a competitive online game.

I agree, let the directional players play amongst themselves and see who gets lucky the most.

I would think everyone would want pure pvp. The version we have been getting is a slot machine of outcomes.

It shouldn’t be that way in a competitive online game. The simulation aspect should be solely offline. Or let us choose between 2 online modes for RS/BR/Events.

That's exactly how it works. If you are facing a great pitcher your pci will be smaller making it harder to get a perfect hit. But if you get a perfect hit off of him it should be hit just as hard as getting a perfect hit off of a common pitcher. Just like in real baseball. If you swing perfect on a deGrom fb it will fly just like a perfect off of a much lesser pitcher.

People hit close to 400 with RNG, they would be out here hitting .800 scoring like 50 runs. The PCIs need to shirk immensely before rewarding every PCI that’s one the ball.

It should not be 100 percent of the time a hit, yes the percentage should be higher.
