As most are aware, the standard Xbox Series X controller is basically unplayable on MLB the Show if you are using pinpoint pitching. It's basically not smooth, jittery, and multiple times a game will red line you when pulling down to complete the pitch.

If I use the $30 PowerA wired Xbox controller, pinpoint is smooth as butter and never red lines. It's like playing a different game. The same experience is had on the PS5 where pinpoint is smooth as butter.

I recently purchased an Elite Series 2 controller, and while noticeably better than the standard controller, it still will red line a couple times a game. I've messed with tons of different configurations for the right stick along with changing the tensions. I can get it slightly better, but not smooth like the PowerA.

Does anyone have custom settings for the Elite Series 2 controller that they can share?

    Many thanks.

*Sad side note, when I first used the Elite 2 and played a game, it was smooth as butter. But then I ran the controller update and it all went to [censored]. So I know it's not the equipment, but instead is poor optimization.

I have the Elite Series 2 controller and had the same thing happen after updating the firmware; very frustrating I know.

In the meantime, you should be able to revert your firmware back to the version that shipped with the controller by using the steps here:

Thank you so much. I was able to revert back to the old firmware and pinpoint pitching plays great again! You made my day!

I’ve been using a power a controller. I hope 22 fixes the issue. Would love to use my wireless.
