Reality of Coop and the Benefits of Leaning-in
-
Co-op (at this point in time) is not a feature meant for PvP and is still a viable option that is
worth utilizing.SDS, be real: the servers have been an issue for over a decade; Your forum results alone would show it (why crunch that data?). Two users in a game does work once the season gets rolling and updates are made, you could even argue that a third player could be included. A forth player, a fifth or sixth? No.
So now we have coop, with poor servers and an environment that can be described as toxic. How do we change this reality? Make coop v cpu. Now a total of two players are playing the cpu or maybe even 3. You still have the fun of playing with a friend AND have a smooth experience.
But Ham, how do we make this interesting?
Easy, DD coop Seasons. You have a set number of games per week, month, update cycle etc. to play coop DD. You could also play the same mode with your own DD team or an actual team in mini season mode (outside DD). You would get rewards for however many games you played/won at a certain difficulty - for adv. point stat you could use runs for and against, ks, walks etc.We do not need to play against everyone with a friend/ We simply want to play with a friend. The community could benefit from not having to constantly be against one another.
This method:
- is kind to your servers
- rewards players
- creates a positive social experience

100% agree with this post. Everything said was on point and what I was feeling / thinking.

Going a little further: celebrity teams to play against. Let baseball players and/or celebrity fans pick teams. Imagine if Bill Freak'n Murray picked a DD lineup for us to play against one week or month.

That's an interesting take. Do we know of any "celebrity" MLB fans? That would be fun. I'm all about fun.
