It seems a pretty obvious attempt to “add features/value” without actually doing anything at all about the actual gameplay.
I’m not surprised, but this doesn’t bode well for anyone hoping for anything but another reskin of the same game.
People probably want to try it, but idk how this could be anyone's go-to game mode. Ppl quitting / sabotaging their own team is gonna happen way too often. They're just trying to be like the park in NBA 2K.

There are regularly posts on this forum and even on OS from people requesting co-op to return. Having said that, I guess we will see how many of those players follow through and play it.
People also occasionally say how wonderful a full 9v9 mode would be. Rose coloured glasses there I think.
Trailer did mention friends and family specifically so I don’t think the target market for co-op is those who hook up with randoms online.

I don’t remember what year it was but there has already been a co-op mode but only against cpu. Wasn’t fun at all. I stopped playing it after I lost internet connection one time and the guy harassed me through PSN. I don’t think this mode will make it far.

I don't quite get the point of Co-op play in a baseball game, especially if we're talking about linking up with complete strangers to somehow share the responsibilities. I have fun when a buddy comes over switching back and forth on a showdown or moments but an actual game....no thanks. I like having control.

Good point, seeing as Franchise is totally absent from the schedule. What a fricking slap in the face of so many players.

Online is a K vs. HR fest. What fun will it be playing a position that sees no action? It's player lock without the ability to fast forward. How awful.
Unless pitching duty is rotated, I suppose? But sill...

I think the only way this will be even remotely enjoyable is if you play with friends. I only have one friend who might even consider getting the game next year, and he's not good lol. Matching up with 3-5 randoms would be an absolute hot mess. I'll probably stay away from this mode, but I suppose it has potential to be fun if you have friends that play too.
