Question About Freeze-Offs

I’m in a freeze-off (RS game). My opponent has no obligation to quit cuz the game was far from over (I’m up 2-0 in the 4th inning), but I’d rather let it sit for a while.

My question is: Can I let MLBTS run in the background while I open up a different game without it booting me off?

If anyone has experience with this, I’d appreciate it.

As far as I know, you can only have one game open at a time on Playstation, even on PS5. I'm not sure about Xbox Series S and X with quick resume.

I feel if you are down, you should quit....But I had one freeze off where after an hour, the game randomly started back up, so.....

I don’t get that much free time. If a freeze happens. I have a smoke. If they haven’t quit. I quit. I’d rather play another game.

theres a way to turn your controller off and on again and you win that works for me.

We can't even be on PS4 & 5 at the same time, so you couldn't even fire up the PS4 in the meantime.
God, these freeze offs are just horrible.
