I hate the Yankees but have always loved Jeter. But yeah, let's be honest, the card would not be that great (In MLB The Show terms).

If it is a fake, I do feel bad for a lot of people that wanted him... I’m indifferent, but if it was a player I wanted, I could see it being deflating... Especially for SDS too, if they couldn’t get Jeter and they have to do major damage control.

If they give him diamond defense they will have abandoned all semblance of reality lol. He should have silver defense at best. I wouldn't put it past them to juice him up to gold defense, but diamond would be a travesty. Speed should be 85 max. What he should be is essentially Jackie with worse defense and speed. Will still be fun to use in the early game though.

There are so many ways you could go with cards under perception, Bryce Harper could be a 125 overall or a -1 overall, Tatis could have 255 fielding or 1. It can be whatever side of the fence they choose!

I’m telling you this is what a cover athlete Jeter should look like. He should absolutely have Diamond Defense for the heads up plays he made. I’ll split the difference on speed and go 90 as he is the Yankees all time steal leader. Not crazy power. 80+ I would love for them to make it so he is a good to great opposite field hitter.
