Confessions from a dashboarder...

I dashboarded (if that's what you call quitting before the end of a play) twice today. I rarely do it, but I'll tell you why I did. You can blame me, but I personally blame the matchmaking. I'm currently around .500, in 5 straight games, I've faced opponents with records 40 or more games above .500. One opponent was close to a hundred games over .500. I start by thinking ok, I'll give it a try, but after a couple innings, or a couple batters, it's usually clear I'm outmatched. I'll give up a couple home runs or runs scored, but I'm not going to be fodder for someones stats. The game needs to consider win/loss records in some form, while matchmaking. My question is why are there so many skilled players with massive winning records in all-star and pennant race? So next time, your playing someone not as good as you, quit crying if you get a win but your player doesn't get the 40, 50 or 60 something home run. I'm not going to keep serving them up.

WS and CS players tank so they can take on easier competition to get to 30 wins so using Win/Loss to determine who you play won’t work.

They could also have taken a break from the game and come back too and they start lower than normal.

I have been saying since it was announced the new 30 or 40 win WS reward in RS would lead to this exact issue. The other half of the problem is people who can’t make WS complained that they couldn’t get the reward so SDS listened and didn’t think it thru.
I hate that people want to tank for easy wins, but if there is an exploit, certain people are going to do it.
I understand your frustration though and while I hate dashboarders, I can’t say I don’t see your side of the coin here.

You're a tool if you dashboard, unless the other guy is replaying HR's and doing stupid toxic [censored].
So if the guys you were playing weren't doing that, then you're a tool. Period.

How do they resolve it?
Get rid of the Program pack and just have rewards linked to making RS? Then you have casuals complaining.
Set it so that the Program Reward pack, obtained by getting 'X' amount of wins be a non-sellable card? That won't work either.

Or you could just not be a soft little [censored] and quit after the HR lands or after an inning.

What time of the year are we at in the game cycle???? The only guys still playing are the best players who play the game for the whole game cycle. There are not too many casual gamers at this point.

Nobody said you have to keep serving them up, but let it land and quit after the play.

this is exactly the way - this whole 30 W's to get the card this year made many of us all go that way - the logic being why stress and get sweaty on HOF with great players, when you can tank a bit and beat up on the lower levels

of course we all didn't - i am just saying that many did - its easier and fun to just crush online

Dashboarding is lame. Anyways don’t get discouraged. When I start getting smacked around by some one hitting everything I just turn my give F off. I’ll quit if it gets to ugly. Most of the time I just laugh at how bad I am compared to my opponent. I’m by no means good at this game. Also a couple of beers while playing surely helps.
But if you dashboard what ever. End of the day it bothers me but not to the point that it’ll effect any thing in my real life. This is fantasy. There’s an off button, in some cases a home button.
